All the banners and flags seem to have vanished this year.

We still have them, just a lack of willing participants. Also don't really have a suitable space to store them, so they get tatty, moldy and generally degrade. Stock needs updating and we need a new storage space but I know I've been very busy with other stuff recently and so have the other main protagonists. It would have been nice to look at the Grimsby and Portsmouth games to get something going again but the t**ts at Sky have ruined the 2nd one.

Surely there's a room somewhere in the ground they can be put in between games?

They're in the groundsmen store along with chemicals, paints, lawnmowers and god knows what else. The ground staff team are hardly gunna be on tip toes around them either so they get tatty over time.

There aint much enthusiasm for waving them when its zero degrees.

The "Rovers shirt" flag has lasted a few seasons now, despite its size, and was for a time stored where the lawnmowers are in the South East Corner - maybe the club would let you keep them there? A bit disappointing if some of the flags only lasted a season.

I heard John Doolan borrowed the "Rovers shirt" flag to wear for Copps' testimonial, and kept it for a souvenir.

waving the flags will warm them up rather than sitting there getting cold doing nothing

As long as they don't waft a cold draught towards us more refined fans in the West stand.
