I've never been that side, unknown territory

The East Stand has become my favourite stand in the Moat

Looks ok but the sun (when out) always seems to be a problem ?

I was there the first half-season after it opened.
We were in the back row in front of the boxes.
No leg room, hard to get out and as Wolfy says the sun was a right pain.

I normally get one of the back seats towards the corner near the south, never had a problem with the sun there, used to have a season ticket in the south at the back as well

We were about midway between the away fans and the half way line.
The winter sun was always in my eyes when it was out.

Isnt it the East Stand that can be expanded, not saying we will ever need to, but sounds like that would cause a problem if a second tier was built on the East stand.

I remember seeing a mock up of the East with a small second tier on top.

Am I right in thinking the South Stand can be extended as well?

Any part of the Keepmoat can be extended depending on if they choose to do it. There is no specific provision in the design for expansion and no, there are no extra piles sunk in to the ground to cater for future expansion.

In the original design with the floating roof, simular to the KC at Hull, there would have been two tiers on the East Side with provision for two tiers on the West should it be required in future.

During time of the delay caused by the survey for the Great Crested Newts, steel prices had increased which meant the original design was beyond the budget agreed by the council.

That's why we are in the toned down design KM we are in today.
