Think Cask Corner have been struggling financially for a while and it's not the pub it was when it 1st opened but its still a good bar for some decent real Ales and live music!

And last time I was there there wasn't even a bloody seat on it...

Hey, if you think that's bad, I once had to have an Eartha Kitt in the Goose in a carsie with no bloody door. I swear everybody in the place came in to have a gander.
Me and my son got on the wrong road out of Southport after the 0-4 win their in 2003.
He was busting for the bog so we pulled up at a big pub in Aintree. He dashed off while I got the beer in. He came back and said there was no door on the bar bog door. Luckily it had another bog in the restaurant side of the pub.

Just a tad off topic but what is the situation with Bentley pubs of my youth The Drum Druids and Railway Tavern perhaps BB could answer. Also am I correct in saying the Bay Horse has been long gone used to have a good folk club there

The Drum was demolished about 3 years ago.

The Druids is now offices of various businesses.

The Railway Tavern has been shut for months, although it was bought by the Rhino's owners and rumour has it that it is going to be a restaurant........

The Bay Horse is still open as a pub.

The rhinos boys own the druids pub too I think.

They bought the Druids when it was a pub, whether they still own the place in its now offices state I'm unsure.

Rhino's also bought the Rostholme club (formerly Londsborough), now demolished, which they sold to Lidl who have built a new supermarket there.

Rhino's also own the Scawthorpe club, and have another Rhino's pub at Woodlands as well as the Bentley Rhinos.

My grandad used to be the steward at the North End club but I've not been down there in decades. Don't suppose that's still standing is it ?

Balby Rd Rec had a "Balby Rhino's" sign on it when I went past t'other day.

Whoever owns the chain has evidently found a way to make pubs pay when others can't.
