I remember his post match interviews on Radio Deedar. I used to call him "Dave Drones" because of the way he droned on in his monotone voice for what seemed like hours.

One Saturday evening when he came on the radio I put on the CD, listened to half a Cocteau Twins album and when I went back to Deedar he was still droning on. Radio Tees or whatever it is won't know what's hit it.

I'd rather listen to Elizabeth Fraser's nonsensical lyrics any day..! Nowt against Jones though - but she has a far better voice!!

I've now got a wonderful image of Elizabeth Frazer doing a post-match interview  "the lads were unlucky, Rob" while Dave drones away to the backing track of "Sugar Hiccup."

considering I confidently expected a top ten finish from "Hartlepool and the Seagulls" it would be in Rovers interest that they pull away from the relegation zone asap

if they had to beat Rovers to stay up in the last match then there would be more Hartlepool fans (and less Rovers fans) it would also be a harder match chasing 100 points which is going to be a photo finish

rovers are on target for 97.3 points at the moment
