if your going to Whitehouse, Robin hoods bay is worth it and close by theres levisham a very picturesque village with a great pub. id always including a trip to Northumberland too amazing coastline Castles and scenery
Yorkshire Wildlife Park if she likes animals. Polar bears and my fav, giraffes.
Sandsend is one of the wifes favourite places

A628 to Flouch then towards Holmfirth stop off in Holmfirth then up to Holme Moss, my fav pub is Fleece in on woodhead road Holme have lunch there then up Holmes Moss stop and top and enjoy view from Car Park then carry on down to Crowden and back over Woodhead pass,round trip from Sprotbrough is approx 70 miles.

Who needs a Passport when we have all this on our doorstep, and a ride on the Whitby to PIckering Steam Engines ooooh "Heartbeat and all that". AS it came close to my passport expiring last October I considered all of this in Yorkshire and nearby and decided not to renew it. There is plenty here to enjoy and as the weather is now universal there is nothing to be gained by going abroad to sit in the rain...
