Travel disruption at Cambridge
« on February 28, 2017, 07:27:01 pm by LincsRover »
Not sure if it affects trains from Donny to Cambridge but someone has been hit by a train at Sandy near Cambridge and all trains to & from Cambridge & Peterborough affected. I was hoping to get back in time to get to game but I've been sat on train from kings cross for nearly 3 hours now outside Stevenage and still no sign of movement! At least I'm in first class and have had my dinner and drinking free vodka! Will have to get my wife to pick me up now and get car tomorrow from Newark & listen on rovers player so hope wifi holds up and player plays!!

Come on boys, let's get 3points & cheer me up!

it's great to know that you have a comfy seat fella and are at least able to keep up with rovers game.

Can't see to many rovers fans on the train tonight  but if game had been on a Saturday that would be different.

If that t**t Corbin is on the train dont get up for him as he belongs on
the floor .

Managed to get Rovers player working so hopefully it'll last to the end if the game. We're going nowhere so at least I'm warm, dry and well fed/oiled!!

Come on rovers!!

I'm really enjoying this! Might have been different if the penalty had gone in! A new experience but still not moved yet!!!

I will talk to yer lincs as all other muppets are in that lucky pint gaff.

Rovers winning 2-0 now and it seems it's either grant or Rowe who got the first depending on what source you listen too.

Rowe first and baudry second apparently according to player. Been told we'll be moving soon - might get home tonight after all!  😎

I feel your pain Lincs..... sat in First Class having to put up with waitress service of free drinks while listening to the Rovers getting back to winning ways! You poor thing!

And with a 3-hour delay you should get your fare refunded!

Enjoy mate, this is what memories are made of.
Let's hope the lads don't mess it up second half.

You're right, it's a dirty job but someone has to do it!! Will certainly never forget it!

As for the fare - double jeopardy as I've already claimed it back through work expenses so I wouldn't, couldn't claim the compensation....could I?? 😏

Oh yes you can!
The fare has been paid for the journey you have made for work.
It's you who has been inconvenienced - not work.
The money you can claim back is generally credited as a voucher and is compensation for your inconvenience.
Get your claim straight in.

You're right you know! Any potential guilt has just disappeared like a fart in the bath but not as smelly! Cheers Stockton!

Cheers, just walked in home and arrived back in Newark after final whistle! Great listening between wifi drop out - as was said earlier, a very memorable evening, especially with the other results going our way! Onwards & upwards & thanks for the updates.
