I have a strong recollection of "Billy Bremner's red and white army - we're not daft we're f**king barmy" resonating around the pop side for up to 20 minutes at a time...

But some chants just go viral and global, like this one which I guess will never be forgotten!

I vividly remember the  60/70's with this sophisticated chant sung at opposition fans in a south Yorkshire accent....

Cum ovver 'ere
Cum ovver 'ere
Av a gu' uu
Av a gu' uu

and ever other weapon he could find.

In Dublins fair city where the girls are so pretty, i first set my eyes on sweet Molly Molone
as she wheeled her wheelbarrow through streets broad and narrow
 singing  :clapping: Rovers!!

"Hello, hello, we are the Belle Vue boys
Hello, Hello, we are the Belle Vue boys,
And if you are a Barnsley fan, surrender or you'll die!
We all follow the Rovers!"

"Come and 'ave a go if you think you're 'ard enough
Come and 'ave a go if you think you're 'ard enough"

And one I think I only heard once, sung by a huge ginger skinhead on his own at Scunny in the 80's which for some reason has stuck with me:

"Scunthorpe Boys, we are 'ere
Gonna shag your women, drink your beer and then smack you around the f***in ears!"

Reminds me of the away cup tie at Scarborough a good few years back, when Scarborough's announcer at half time was giving details of their up and coming away fixture to somewhere or other and finished off by saying "the minibus will leave at such and such a time..."

Quick as a flash, the Donny support chimed in with "You're going home in a f***ing mini bus".

Yet another classic.

To the tune of 'Wandering star'

Boots were made for booting
Fists were made to smack
and if you hit 'em hard enough
You'll land 'em on their back

Dons, I remember it as:

We don't carry bottles,
We don't carry lead,
We only carry hatchets to bury in your head.
We are true supporters,fanatics everyone,
We all hate Man City Leeds, and Leeds and Leeds and Leeds...............

I remember a different ending:

We only carry hatchets to bury in your head
We are peaceful people looking for a fight
You'll get your fcuking heads kicked in
By the boys in Red and White

Very early sixties

I hear the sound of distant bums
Over there
Oh! Over there
And do they smell?
Like f****kin hell

To Jim Reeves Distant Drums while pointing at the opposition fans....
