If what you heard was true, then the Junkies involved may just be ones causing problems in South Stand and getting hyped up for a scrap near to Hyde Park that we read about some days. But again, if in future BTP start to search Donny fans getting on trains to games (for drugs) then who can complain.

Other things can be but none more than that beast of a drug, alcohol.

A few groups of rovers fans on the 20.30 home but no trouble seen. Lots of good banter flying about with a group of guisley fans on the way home.
BTP > just like any other branch of the police force are there to do a job.If they step over the line while in that process then the general public have to learn to live with it,sick of seeing the public arm themselves with mobile phone footsge and shouting out to the police while they carry out whatever duty 'Iam filming you this will go on you tube'It should be an offence to film the police while they are in uniform. The police should be feared and respected ,to which this don't happen today anymore. There was nothing more scary when you was in a punch up and you heard the wheels of a police meat wagon pulling up,then as soon as you heard the doors burst open you was away on your toes running like hell with the sound of no end of sound 12s on your heals. If you got caught you only had yourself to blame guilty or not guilty.
Yes you had done nothing wrongI've been unlawfully (and non-consensually, I might add) stopped, ID'd, and searched, without probable cause, or even explanation offered, (even when repeatedly requested)... whilst simply taking the dog for a walk down a country lane with my 11 year old daughter. Too many of them assume authority they don't possess, and like bullies, hide behind their badges and their colleagues. After that first time, I've taken to recording every encounter I have with the police and/or security officers, and it's amazing how less aggressive and even polite they can become when they know there will be consequences if they try to break the law and abuse your civil rights. But how many children have been taken away and abused by older men using a dog for a tactic of a little girl being able to just hold a lead. Down a country lane.I have an 11 year old daughter and I am 66, Do not even go down the usual questions but it happened, now when she is walking with me on roads or across fields to get from A to B you should see the looks I get and I know what is going through some people's minds... I am also a retired Police man of your dreaded SYP but I am presumed a Pervert by normal people on a school playground in Balby (God forbid that some there have the right to suspect such actions) They even tell their children that I am too old to have a daughter.MY POINT - Well simply do not take things on face value and look beyond your "Oh I am being picked on".. I have had to carry out such checks and could not tell the person the total reason why I have stopped them - usually there was a missing child / there had been a serious assault in the area/ there was a series of serious matters. One of my jobs in ********* in 1992 - a lady was walking from Scrooby to Bawtry 2 am in the morning and was being followed a distance behind by a man. A passing motorist saw this but carried on, a while later he decided to phone the Police, who could find nothing on the road. She was naked and dead in a field at the side of the road. MY POINT - Well eventually on local knowledge and diligent enquiries by Police around 100 over a two week period he was arrested and sent to prison. If he had been stopped and checked out he would have done nothing and she would have got home safe.....TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY. I have many such stories - Yes some Police do wrong but do not tar all of us the same, I can tell stories as many retired Police (albeit there are legal problems and consequences if we ever did).
About 20 odd years ago I was up in magistrates court on a affray charge ,which would have been referred to crown court and if found guilty could have been 7 years porridge at the worst. All the evidence that that I saw that the police had on me was pure fabrication ,but that is what the prosecution was going to bring to the table. For whatever reason our appearance in magistrates court kept on getting referred to another appearance, this went on about four times I recall. It was on our 4th or 5th appearance in magistrates court that I was given addvice by my brief to sack him and take the offer that the court gave us.5 of us took the offer which carried a suspended sentence for 12 months I think it was.so bascially keep your sen out of trouble for 12month or the sentence for affray will be added to any offence if found guilty in court within the 12 month period.2 lads that was allready on a suspended sentence had no choice and had to take it to crown court ,where the judge threw all charges out against them due to prosecution case been a joke.My brief told me back then that SYP must be after me if what I told him was 100% correct about the said offence ,as that was what my case was built on > my truth.I could not take the chance of going to crown court and possibility of getting a sentence if found guilty even thou I was not guilty of what was put on my charge sheet. Some 10 years after the above SYP via another regions police had me in for a offence that I apparently committed at a England game back in the U.K.While the the above game was on ,I watched the game alone in my front room at my house in oslo. After a phone call with a certian police officer at Doncaster police station and a stated that I was at home alone in oslo during the said England game in question ,the police told me that they have photo graphic evidence of me causing whatever offence.I was told that if I would not come back to U.K. to appear at donny police station to clear this up that the police would put a red flag on my passport and I would be arrested at whatever U.K. Airport that I landed in if I came back unannounced to the police. So I made an arrangement with donny police to turn up at their nick on a certian date where they arrested me for whatever offence a took me down to cells.Had my brief with me and after seeing the so called photographic evidence they had on me all possible charges were dropped .But today I still have the upmost respect and fear of police and if they have to tread on your toes then so beit .

When I see a general member of the public taking his/her phone out and film the police and shouting 'Iam filming you ' etc etc ,making the police second guess their actions I want to go over and knock that member of general public out
Mr Orlandokarle you asked me if had had dealings with the police while I was on a not guilty footing from my side of the fence. The police need to ask to find if you are guilty or not .Then you can't seem to take on board that I still fear and respect the police. When you see young teenagers today who have no respect for the law and police today what so ever ,it tells me that society is fcuked and getting worse.Just look at the footage of two gangs of school girls in a London market place having a massive punch up with each other in the middle of the day.The police today have been fcuked over by the PC outlook on life as every fcuker over the last 10 years or so has human rights .I take on board that at times some police officers step over the line to various extents ,but society needs to fear and respect the police to help keep fighting teenage girl gangs on the straight and narrow. When I see a general member of the public taking his/her phone out and film the police and shouting 'Iam filming you ' etc etc ,making the police second guess their actions I want to go over and knock that member of general public out .

If you haven't already you should certainly look into getting some professional help.

That you've been dicked around by the police and you're fine with it? That you're OK with some thug with a badge breaking the law, crapping on your civil rights, and behaving however he wishes?

I have many such stories - Yes some Police do wrong but do not tar all of us the same, I can tell stories as many retired Police (albeit there are legal problems and consequences if we ever did).I live on a farm, surrounded by farms, in a town of less than 800 people, in a national forest... every road is a country lane. In my community, every truck has a gun rack on it, and every home has at least one firearm. Hunters walking down the lane to their vehicles with high calibre rifles is not an uncommon sight. A 35 year old man walking his dog with his 11 year old daughter does not even register on the scale of dangerous/suspicious.I wouldn't know about pedophiles and their tactics, but any in town are listed along with their addresses and photographs on the internet. I knew who they are, where they live, and what they look like... and I do not resemble any of them. The cop's supervisor said he was supposed to be watching the adjacent road for over-laden vehicles transporting lumber. Perhaps I fit that description? Your point is irrelevant, because I'm not talking about being offended that a policeman on a call stopped me and asked me my business, but rather that he assumed authority he didn't have, and broke the law, repeatedly. When you stopped people, hoping to speak with them, did you do it forcibly, with authority you didn't possess? Did you demand ID and search them, illegally, with no probable cause? Threaten them with arrest when they, quoting their civil rights, refused to be bullied? If no crime has been committed, and there is no probable cause, a police officer has no right to do any of the above. When a civil servant oversteps his authority and knowingly breaks the law to intimidate and bully the very people he is supposed to protect, there isn't another side to the story. Where have I tarred all police as the same? I still maintain a great deal of respect for the police, (my brother in law has been a Sheriff's Deputy for over 20 years) and I acknowledge that they do an incredibly difficult job. However, the previous poster's assertion that cops should be allowed to do as they please, free from the considerations of civil rights, and without the constraint of law is absolute madness. English Kings haven't had that privilege since 1215!
