Used to park in by the houses in Belle Vue often had to Queue to get onto the road and all the way down balby road. Alternatively could go the other way and queue down bawtry road. Now the queue are local to the keepmoat. But have been stuck on the road around lakeside many a time

Belle Vue was easier to get away from in my opinion. It also seemed more central for people walking to the ground.

I walk to games now? Location not massively different to belle vue.  It's just a sign of changing times, people do less socially now than before. Just look at pubs...

There will be an above average crowd. Wont make 5 figures. The interest is still not there.  8k tops

I took figures for when we played Plymouth and for the same point we'd sold around 1000 more. Quite surprised to be honest. If there isn't a late surge it could be just an average home attendance which would be disappointing

How many came cheap using ticket stubs though?
A win in front of a big crowd might encourage a good gate in the following games.

You would think a game that decides promotion won negate the lack of cheaper tickets

That depends on the supporter though doesn't it?
To some people it's just a matter of cost.

I think Frostys right. I reckon there will be a big turnout on the day though. Big queues at the ticket office etc. We'll be having to tell folk they can pay on gate rather than queue.

Well I've just been for 3 in the west as usual but there wasn't anywhere near my spots available so it's my first venture in the east!

I just looked at the availability online.  One of the blocks in the SW corner didn't show a number remaining but taking all the others into account there appears to be around 4000 seats available.  Taking the away end into account and the unused segregation areas at the N end of the E and W stands, I would guess that means around a home capacity around 10K, ie I am guessing, but that may mean about 6000 home seats sold including ST holders.

Depending on how many Mansfield will bring, plus those buying up between now and Saturday then match day walk ups, there should be around 9,000 there??

Considering some home matches have been in the 5,000s this season, then a crowd around 9K is great?

Yep. 9k in the fourth division would be a pipe-dream for us not so long ago.

A lot of the floating fans will probably expect to rock up at the ticket office half an hour before kick-off so hopefully we'll be well-prepared for it. Especially if the sun's out.

The sun being out doesnt make much difference to those of us who sit in the South does it Mike?

I went in for my tickets this afternoon and I asked Susan how tickets were selling. She said they were "steady" but usually picks up Thursday and Friday and of course the walk ups on Saturday.

Quick calculation looks like 6500 sold so far so definitely picking up which is good. Could be good for 8000 home fans plus whatever Mansfield bring which would be a good effort.

Just bought two online for friends/relatives - buying online is really very good these days particularly for away tickets if you're a season ticket holder or just buying for friends.  Good work DRFC.

If you're disabled they rarely seem to sell the ambulant disability tickets online though. I know some clubs want you to buy direct from them but they're not that common.

The club deserve there to be a good turnout for the game tomorrow. Relegation was disappointing last season but the reaction from all concerned could not have been better and I hope we get good numbers and hopefully the win we need to seal promotion.
