I certainly hope he will. He's a raw talent and once he's left Everton he needs to grab the opportunity by the scruff of the neck and kick on his career just like Marquis has!

I really hope he does. We need to keep all of the squad pretty much plus a couple more quality additions.
Evina will be one of the certainties to go i feel.

I spoke to Cedric on Saturday morning. He's definitely leaving in the summer.

But not by being played wide right, Fergie has been accomodating him and Rowe

I think so. He's been overtaken at Everton with that young lad emerging into the first team. If he wants first team football, it's a no brainer.

Still don't think we've seen the best of him. Gary McSheffrey has shown the way in his limited appearances to date.

I think DF recognises the talent and the potential in Grant. Similarly with Mason & Houghton who could all become regulars and see us in to the Championship. These lads are the next generation and set the standard for our own developing players.

Mcsheffrey is a difficult one...I admit I didn't expect to see him play this season and then be quietely slid out the door at the end of the season...However for the amount of time he's been out injured he has done very well...The question is with our budget being an average 1 in league 1 every player counts...Should we offer a deal to him..??? On his performances you would say yes but you have to weigh itup with the fact he has bad knee's and has spent the vast majority of the last 2 years out injured with them....Tough decision for Fergie.....

With the loan rules we need the depth in our squad.  Keep McSheffrey, and try to get Grant!

There may be other players under DF's radar too, and we can of course start talking to players/agents sooner than other teams because of the early promotion.

He's knows he'll play here and Fergie will help to develop him and after a failed Ipswich loan move why go somewhere else.

Agree, hope he sign on the dotted line soon, with a Championship medal around his neck.

Grant will sign, I would also keep McSheffrey he's experienced and a player I think would be willing to be a squad player with his age.

Grant will sign, I was talking to his dad a couple of games ago, it's all about his wage. Why give up what he is on now for us to pay him less, wait until end of season, plus probably saves DRFC so everyone's a winner

Surely we wouldn't take over his wage until the contract began in July anyway...?

I'd say Grant is nailed on to sign up ... unless he has delusions of grandeur in terms of his expected new wage.

Not singing for us next season would be a massive mistake on his part also, as this is clearly the best route for him over the next two years. If he can put in two solid seasons with us he will be playing in the Champ no problem, be that with us or with another club.

Same goes from Mason too.

I think Grant will sign fairly early on this summer.

He knows he's highly rated by Ferguson and nothing is more important that regular game time at this stage of his career. It'd be something of a risk for him to go elsewhere when an offer from ourselves is on the table.

Conor Grant IS interested in a permanent switch to #drfc. But his focus is squarely on winning the League Two title doncasterfreepress.co.uk/sport/football…

Can't see that happening. He's hardly been a stand out player IMO. Distinctly average since he came back.
Needs to improve.

if he was going to sign he would have done so already. his agent his may be telling to wait and a bigger team will come in for him.

He'll be signing. Finer detail will be sorted by club and his agent. As he said, he doesn't want to be concerned about that as there's still a job to be done on the pitch.

Playing in his natural position in the second half he was sensational, together with Tommy Rowe.Thats the problem with both of them they are being played out of position to accommodate inferior players.Tommy is a 10 Grant is a midfield play maker on the left.We dominated the second half when   they played there.
I wonder if the Argentinian manager ever thought of playing Maradona at left wing back like we do with Rowe.

Two or three strong defenders on top of what we have will release the players to play in their normal roles. I would expect DF is aware of his requirements. I would stand a Bollocking like yesterday if it meant that in four weeks I had a promotion and Tittle winners medal. _ no problem

The more time that passes without Grant being signed up, more it will seem he is holding out for a bigger club, Dingles perhaps?

Do people keep missing this? Pretty obvious why he's not signed yet.
