Another for Brian Usher. What a winger that guy was, just wish I'd seen him and Laurie Sheffield on the same pitch.

Michael McIndoe My all time favourite player, I was obsessed with the bloke, I was only 11/12 at the time and played football myself, had the exact same boots as him, had my picture with him.. the lot.
If I can have two King Alick who I was lucky to see lots of times and Tony Coleman. I had an old 2nd world war gas rattle ( from the army stores that used to be in the market place opposite the fish stalls and next to Stimsons shoes ?) that I painted all white with Tony Coleman painted on the metal plate around the rattle - it didn't half make a racket ! We wore all white shirts then with red collar and cuffs. The Real Madrid of South Yorks ! Used to stand on the cop behind the goals and go up to get pie and peas or tea in the 'cafe' at the top of the Cop I think I remember !! This was the mid sixties. Used to get on the 'Rovers Special' bus from Thorne South Common outside the chipshop and be returned safe and sound. Think we got off outside the park. Happy Days !!
Probably Eddie Gormley - carried the team for a couple of seasons
Matty Cauldwell for me, wonder what he ended up doing.
