This Europa cup thingy

Is that the same sort of cup we beat Emley in the final at Hillsboring?
When we won that highly coveted trophy, which European competition did we quite rightly qualify for?
Please enlighten me boysand gals.

No it's the trophy that only 2 english teams have ever won.
Well done Manchester United.

I remember a lot more than two English teams holding that trophy aloft.

The last champions before the UEFA Cup was renamed to UEFA Europa League were Shakhtar Donetsk, who beat Werder Bremen 2–1 after extra time in the 2009 final.

Only United and Chelsea has won the cup under the current title , though I suppose it is technically the same competition.

Either way , shouldn't be rubbished as an achievement , was the point.

Unfortunately it was boys against men literally

Still they won and have qualified for the major European Competition and cost me £15.

I watched Ajax rip Lyon to shreds in first leg and were sure they would prevail and both Teams would score - wrong wrong wrong

Still the consolation will be Chelsea will probably be better than they were this Season and surely Man City have learned from this Season so the Title will probably elude Mourinho for a while yet and he can concentrate on another Cup Double - this time Football League Cup and FA Cup

Gents I think you've lost the point towards my original post. The point being I was asking what completion that qualified us into entering the following season.
I could hardly demean one of this countries best ever clubs in terms of records. Also it was done well before full time.
The names of competitions over my years have changed vasltly including their formats etc.

The fans didn't turn up to watch Rovers but to See Emley Play  they've performed all over the world as we know
