Just seen Andy Williams in Rhodes. Has anyone else seen any of the boys on holiday?

I saw John Marquis in Covent Garden just after I'd finished the London Marathon back in April. Think that was the night of the EFL awards as I then bumped into Copps at Donny station the next day when I came home.

Not seen any since the season finished, although I still see Stuckmann quite often.

Was he buying a loaf or a sausage roll?

For the benefit of fans outside of DN8 area, "Rhodes" is a bakers shop in Thorne and Hatfield.

The one in Thorne is near where the Post Office used to be, the one in Hatfield is next door to Tesco Express round the corner from Hatfield Church

Back in the 60s if we were working in on of the Darley's pubs we'd go to a butchers down Finkle St. for a pork pie or pasty.
They were to die for.

Dicky Hollands, still there but not the original owners, I agree the pies were great. My first job when an apprentice at the shipyard was to go for the hot pork pies complete with the clear runny gravy this before the shop opened. I once witnessed a cat running over a tray of cooling pies, said  didn't reveal the details when back at the yard but I gave it a miss.
I fully understand that this is not football but it's great to reminisce while waiting for the signings to be revealed.

Yes it's the one next door to Cooplands. The one near to the old Post Office is called Archdales.
