Wimbledon 2017,,
« on July 02, 2017, 11:25:00 am by George Carter »
Whos  everyone bcking to win tournament again this year??

For me its got to be Murray or djokovic and I'd edge more to the serb. Hes nott had a good year results wise but with it being the biggest of the grand slams and him beingb decent on grass,, I think hes capcble of pulling a cat out the bag and ding well when needs to. Murray will run it close if he can shake off injuries

Nadal has been past it on grass for a few years and even though hes a favourite I think federer's best days are also behind him and hell need a lot of luck and favourable draws to get far.

If anyone outside them four win,, it'd be the biggest shock since Ivanisavic.

Del potro done nothing for years.  Bottles it like most other argies when it comes down to it.

He's just coming back from injury. Serving well.

Del Potro has always served well. It's just still not enough to elevate him to the same class as Fee, Djokovic, Nadal and Murray (except the US open win several years ago)

Murray is injured, Djok is desperately out of form, Fed is old as the hills and Nadal is still on the comeback after a long time out. All vulnerable.

Only ever used to watch the tennis in the days of borg, conners, macenro Becker for sole reason it was a addvert for likes
of fila ,Lacoste ,ellesse ,tacchini ,ceruti .

A original Bjorn borg green fila bj would cost you an arm and a leg if you was ever to find one up on eBay today.

Yet all 4 are still well ahead of the pack. Murray always raises his game at Wimbledon, Djokovic cruised through Eastbourne, Federer is on absolutely top form and rested after missing the French Open. I might be proved wrong but I can't see beyond them or Nadal.

Short memory..

Rio Olympics final Murray vs Del Potro.  I don't normally bother with the tennis but that match was an excellent advert for the sport, could have gone in the opposite way too..

Del potro didnt win and Olympic tennis isnt seen anywhere near as big as winning one of the four Grand slam's.

No he came second..

And go ask Andy Murray, double olympic champion, how big that is??

As for your comment  "bottles it like most other argies when it comes down to it." that's borderline racist too...

To be fair, ask Murray if he'd swap both Olympic golds for a slam and I know what the answer would be. Although I'm sure winning it at Wimbledon in 2012 was amazing for him.

I Don't think Murray played that well until the last few games of that set when he was right on the ropes and the italian guy went to apple crumble.

That's two of them we've got beat and we are not at the semi's yet.

I went on Monday and Federer was awesome against Dimitrov. Djokokic is playing well again so I think it will be one of those 2 for the title. Judging by the way Murray played in the last 2 sets today his injury must be worse than he was letting on.

That's 3 out out of the 4 not even in the semis. Get Fed beat and it's jackpot time.

Federer to win
I refer to my original prediction. If only I'd put a bet on!
