todays topic... london acid attacks
« on July 15, 2017, 09:52:28 pm by George Carter »
It seems that acid is now the weapon of choice for yobs in london after 5 people have been attacked by some kid throwing acid in their faces over the past few days.

This got me thinking,, now they've caught the culprit, how should he be punished??

For me he's up there with terrorists as being absolute scum of the earth as those poor fcukers he's thrown acid at will have to live with the scars for the rest of their lives.

I hope if he gets sent down,, he spend the rest of his life in prison and it would be karma if one of his cell mates covered him in acid.

If drugs phones,, money and other things can be smuggled into prison it wouldnt surprise me if something like acid which could easily be passed off as water,, could be smuggled in as well.

More than 400 attacks so far this year - horrific, shocking, appalling - words fail me. I am more interested in knowing what the government are going to do to stop these type of attacks than encouraging criminals to commit  them.

Correlation does not imply causation but there's been high profile cases. Katie Piper was attacked in 2008, in 2009 She gave up her anonymity in order to increase awareness, appearing in a C4 documentary. Since then acid attacks have risen hugely, more than doubling in the last 5 years.  I'm not saying this publicity causes copycat attacks but there are some damaged people out there and we don't need to be giving then ideas.

They also put a lot of sugar in the boiling water which makes it stick to the skin

I remember watching a World in Action tv programme a few years ago that was on the subject of glue sniffing becoming popular in London. It showed how it was actually done, thus basically spreading the word to all and sundry in the rest of the country. It was only a matter of days later that there was a national epidemic of solvent abuse throughout the UK.

Another episode showed viewers how to make a bomb!
