Means f**k all. They had a striker in Billy Sharp who'd scored for fun at this level. Our squad is in no way comparable to theirs. Chris Wilder is also arguably a better manager than Darren Ferguson.

We can switch to a back 3 but we seem to struggle when we start with it against a team playing a back four.

Why all the changes? The Peterborough performance was decent and for me the only question was who started with Marquis up front (Williams for me, but I wouldn't have been against May starting.)

Mandeville showed he is not an out and out striker. I'm not sure what Toffolo and Kongolo showed. Both looked like fish out of water.

Every team should play to their strengths. In my opinion ours isn't a back 3. I don't personally think it's our centre backs. If you look at the last game our often did our back 3 have the ball and there was no one in a decent position showing in midfield to play through. It changed when. Cops came on and May started running up top

Couldn't agree more with this, last week against Peterborough was the first game I've been too so I can only speak for what I've seen, but Mandeville hasn't looked anywhere near scoring in either game, no idea why May was dropped for him yesterday, absolutely baffled.
Been looking forward to seeing Kongolo play after all the hype I've read about him, posters on here saying 'he must play when fit' and yesterday I think offered something in between nothing and little, so that was an anti climax for me. My biggest gripe of the day was Toffolo, and all the way through the first half I'm sat thinking to myself has Fergie literally googled 'available left backs' on deadline day and signed the first one he's seen cos on that basis today we must have someone in the youth just as effective, not for me.

Some people have a short memory.
We can't play a back 3 full stop, end of story. Ferguson alone got us relegated 2 seasons ago by continuing to play a system that everyone, except him, could see we were incapable of playing.
We don't have the players to do it, with the exception of Baudry. Bin it now.
