Whiteman

Was he injured yesterday or ill? or was he not given permission to play by Sheffield United, and if not is it a sign that they will recall him in January?
I thought that Fergie said in an interview, that all the loan players were available earlier in the week.

Thanks R.B. I was hoping that  it was an injury and not the latter. with Kolongo missing next week he will be needed, and has a lot to play for himself,if he can improve his approach play to match his finishing Sheffield United will have a great player on their hands.
For a big strong lad I would like to see him get a bit more Physical in his game, and put himself about a bit more,

Thanks TRB. By the way do we know why Garrett was not on the bench yesterday - injury or DF wanting to give Amos a taste of the atmosphere?

Afraid not. Good idea to give Amos the experience though.

Garrett can be pleased with his efforts on Tuesday night, he played well.

Sigh of relief that Whiteman was not pulled for cup tied reasons, which would have been a signal that he was going back to Sheff Utd in January. Looking how well the Blades are doing, they don't really need him.

Replaces Kongolo, which he probably would have done anyway, in the team that played on Saturday. Mason should be back on the right of the defensive 3, as Alcock's form is all over the place.
