"In 1899 the Corporation laid a wide avenue across the ancient Town Moor from Thorne Road to the racestands. It was destined to become one of the most exclusive addresses in 20th century Doncaster. The following year the Corporation commissioned Luke Bagshaw to picture it from the grandstand. But fortunately Bagshaw captured a rare, but partial view of Doncaster Rovers' Intake Stadium. Over at the left you can see the goalposts, and a stand which was known as the chicken coop."That looks like either a practice match or training session underway on the pitch between the stand and the road. Maybe this is also an early pic of the Rovers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
