Chris Black celebration day
« on November 19, 2017, 10:29:45 pm by anne honemous »
With one eye firmly on our upcoming game at Oxford for the first time in 14 years, wouldn't it be fitting if we could get in touch with arguably one of our cult heroes of that season in Chris Black, and invite him back to the scene of his very best appearance in the red and white hoops.

As a lot of us can remember, Cilla's son made his only ever appearance for us in that game and what happened afterwards remains a mystery to this day - did he get lost on the motorway on the way home, did Tim Ryan scare the crap out of him, did McIndoe tell him about a really good investment plan?

Either way, we should launch a campaign to find the star of the moment and invite him to the game or failing that, all go to Oxford in face masks of Chris Black, in celebration of this true hero.

Now does anyone know what he actually looks like...

Remember at the time we were beginning to be a team of snooker balls with Green, Brown, White and Black.

Have we had any other colours play for us?

If the link works, its to a Sunderland message board and part way down is the answer to what happened to Chris Black.

Remember him getting a lot of stick at Oxford that day from the home fans.
