If they need inspiration, Gary Megson's position needs to be very short term.

If WBA are in the relegation zone come February they'll probably need a manager with a decent track record of rescuing teams and no relegation black marks on his CV. Sounds like a job for Tony Pulis...

I bet West Brom's form shows an up turn now Gary Megson is in temporary charge, he's a very good manager

Megson will show his face anywhere at the sniff of a vacant job.

I’m sure iv seen him at the keepmoat every time the job has come available.

Even though I personally can't think of many people to take interim charge who are worse than Megson, it's not really a surprise that he has - he's been assistant there since the summer.

Megson is a pretty good manager.  I know people at Sheffield Wednesday who thought he did well and he was pretty successful at WBA in his first stint in the early 2000's.  He has also had a few tough assignments also - at Bolton and Forest........  He has a better win ratio than Pulis anyway....

Come on Mush, wouldn’t you if you were looking for a job.

Anyway, isn’t he already on the books at WBA.

Megson seems to be held in very high regard down at WBA for what he achieved in his first stint there. Wouldn’t surprise me if he got the job on a permanent basis.

He would be a good fit for West Brom. Pardew is a good manager but comes across as a kitson

Megson was Asst to Pulis since July...don't see how can he do something remarkably different to Pulis.

Fergie now 22nd longest serving manager in all 4 divisions. 2 years and 1 month.

Has Carvarhal been sacked by Wednesday yet? That'll push Fergie up another place.

Carvahal is just two places ahead of Fergie. Derek Adams (Plymouth), Gary Johnson (Cheltenham) also look on shaky ground at the minute.

And then if Dyche does decide to leave Burnley, that'd bump DF up.

Didn't SO'D get in top ten?

Always a chance Tisdale could get pinched at Exeter. He's second longest serving isn't he?

O'Driscoll was something like 5th or 6th longest serving by the end wasn't he? With Fergie and Wenger the far and away longest serving at the top of the list.
