Super 6 update 30.12.17
« on December 30, 2017, 07:48:14 pm by Donnywolf »
Well again a bloke was close to winning a Million according to Jeff Stelling. No more goal in last 8 minutes. In the end the bloke must have not got that many and in fact 2 people got 27 Points both failing with Chelsea getting 5 when they had 2-0 and 3-0

We had I think a new face at the top Brendan Rochford with 12 Points and a "regular" Nick Plumb also on 12 Points with 4 others on 11 Points (one was Peter Thompson who therefore strengthens his grip on Tommy Rowe prize)

As for the League Gareth Law has 277 and Dave Garfitt now moves into second with 261 with John Mullins and Yvonne Armitage both on 257 - followed by a posse in the 250's !!!

No rest for the wicked and we are predicting again for New Years Day

Good luck all

I keep looking up at the finishing line and it’s absolutly miles away. Just a case of eliminating people that have a chance of winning. Probably only the top 15 in striking distance now. It comes to a point where people start doing unusual predictions against the grain hoping for a miracle, it’s game over if it gets to that point.

I led for ages last Season (or the one before) and before I did I could not score anything decent - but could not "see why"

Then for some reason it switched and I went on a run and reached the top - and for the life of me I could not see how I was doing it each week.

I was still choosing what seemed reasonable outcomes but (no shit sherlock) the games were actually ending that way more than the early Season !

Then things changed back and I gradually slid off the top despite sticking to reasonable predictions and could do nothing to arrest that slide no matter how I tried ....

.... so I am saying I suppose that the only scores you can affect are your own - and even then you you can only predict what you predict and are then at the mercy of Red Cards dodgy Penalties either given or not "wonder" goals or glaring misses

I still cant get over someone winning 250k in the week we played Stoke in the FA Cup. He had all 6 right of course but in the last minute Nathan Tyson was unmarked in the 6 yard box and missed what would have deprived the bloke of his win - but then in the 93rd minute Andy Butler headed over from about 2 yards out. I could have offered him 10k that he could not head over from where he was but he did and the bloke bagged 250k

There is obviously a skill / common sense to it in that not many surely would NOT have chosen Chelsea yesterday but after that what more can you do ?

If it were easy they wouldn't give you £250k for it.
It's very very very very very difficult.

Pretty much the only reason they ever have to pay out is the sheer number of people playing. Law of large numbers.

Aye ... you only have to look at Watford v Swansea yesterday

Lots of people must have had 1-0 or 2-0 to the Hornets and at 1-0 and with time running out they missed a complete sitter. Up went Swansea for an equaliser followed by an unlikely winner

However both the 27 Point scorers both had 1-2 and failed only cos Chelsea got 5
