If anyone thinks we played well today footballs probably not for you. As for not scoring it’s a season long issue not just today our strikers records are abysmal. Conceding from set pieces another one that seems to pass our master tactician by
Add to that players in bench who should have played , players in wrong position, anyone would have thought DF just trying to tell board we don’t have the players an expensive message I hope they got it .

That doesn't make any sense. If he wanted money to spend on new players winning today's game would have been the correct move, £67,000 for progressing and a possible £1m if you draw the right team in the next round.

Im not saying it's true, what since-1969 said,I doubt it myself. But if we won today, would DF get any more to spend, did he after we played Arsenal?Or would TB prudence mean it would got to balancing the books or helping others in club Doncaster?Im not passing judgement,Im just wondering if it would make as much difference to signings than many seem to think.

Not if we finish well in mid table, but if we have a meltdown and go down (i don't think we will) then obviously he should. I think there is a case if we only just avoid relegation from, whats now, a good position but again i don't think that'll happen this year...

perhaps a little bit of smoke and mirrors from DF regarding bringing anyone in lets wait and see. A definite No  now probably means more to the fans than a maybe

As I’ve said before this board have no ambition. Say what you like about JR but he made at least 1 marquee signing every season ie McIndoe, Alford, Mills and many others. This lot are not football led and only make safe business decisions. if JR came back to keepquiet he’d be shocked at a half empty stadium with no atmosphere and the quality football of a pub team and no I’m not having a laugh

If the door is open then let’s hope Rowe and Beestin are not shooting at it they would miss.

What I did find interesting is that DF said that a budget had been agreed and essentially there was no more money in the pot.

Two points. First that budget was presumably agreed before the arsenal cup game and certainly before we lost Whiteman. At the very least there is his loan fee/ wages available.

As I've said, my understanding is he thought there would be the arsenal money available in January but this has now changed

1) Bramall and Watson were already paying the lion’s share of the bills when we signed Mills. And Stock. And Wellens and Hayter and Sharp.

2) In the closed season just gone, the current board provided the funds to tie to a long term contract a striker who had scored more goals for us in a single season than anyone since the days when John Lennon met Yoko Ono.

Just sayin’.

We take our chances today and we win easy. The manager can't put the ball in the net for them all he can do is set the team up. He did that, it worked well for the most. We created chances, we wasted them and we were denied a number of penalties today and finally, we are one of the form teams in League One.

I would sooner see some of the numpty posters on here go than the manager.

Why do you only post when we lose?
Why can’t you come up with some sensible reasoning and arguments to back your ridiculous remarks?  Thirdly why can’t you post witout being vulgar and abusive.

Certainly concerning regarding no signings, one or two injuries to key players & we will be in trouble. Personally I think the manager is doing an excellent with the squad we have, we are not that far away & I  feel for Fergy because if he could add two or three more we could really push on, today showed we are very lightweight squad wise, no real game changer on the bench today apart from Coppinger, but we can't keep relying on him.

As for the game, 2nd half we were excellent & created more than enough to win the game, the problem for me was, & has been for most home games this season is that we always seem to start slowly, make wrong decisions, & give the ball away, today was the perfect game, a cup game against a side we have just beaten & in the bottom four, to start on the front foot & have a real go, but again we were a different team second half chasing the game, we need to play like that from the off. We have been on a great league run of late, & long may it continue, but today reminded me how we are short of quality in the last third & experience, we were bullied again aswell.

Bum around in L1. It was their involvement that helped give us those years in the Championship.

I know that Wilcox and Ferguson were both livid just before xmas because they'd been told they couldn't try and sign their targets.

The last manager who asked if the board would back him ( according to TB in his opening season address MEET THE OWNERS) didn't last much longer after asking.
