That's who I was thinking. Ex Bradford and quite prolific until he came to us as was many a striker who dried up when donning the hoops!

Weird how time distorts the memory, eh? I remember much the same thing.
Just checked his Wikipedia though. Hardly a goal getter.
37 goals in 349 appearances. An average that makes the 1 in 6 he managed for us look pretty good.

He's coaching young ones at Wednesday, working his way up.
Also for someone considered not too bright academically had good financial advice. He's got a few properties on the go.

He looked like a sensation when he first emerged. Scored 5 goals in his first 10 matches for Everton as a 17 year old. Then only scored another 37 in his subsequent 390 first team appearances...

Didn't he score in a defeat at Torquay? I might have just made that up though. I'm sure we wore a white 3rd kit which I had but never saw us play in.
