Part time jobs
« on January 21, 2018, 12:38:04 pm by balbyrover »
Anybody know of any part time work. My partner is due back at her full time job next month following on from her 9 month maternity.

Looking to fit something around childcare baring in mind that she doesn't drive is providing a bit tricky.. Although the childminder lives 7 doors down. (Bonus)

We are open to ideas of full time but it would need to be like 9-5 ish.
Thinking probably bar work somewhere local or something like that. (We live in Thorne)

Thanks for any suggestions guys!

School kitchen?  Most that are/were employed where I worked were mums.  There was always a lot of vacancies. Council website will have them.

A lot of admin jobs are daytime too.  Google them and you'll find stuff. Again depends what she's qualified to do.

Looked all over online. Really struggling. Pretty much all schools require qualifications. (Understandable)

She's just spent the last 6 years at a insurance call centre.

What about delivering for Amazon if you got your own wheels.

She's been at one call for past 6 years. They won't accomadte and change her hours...
Whilst on that subject I always thought your employer had Too? Or am I dreaming that up.

I've worked for Stoneacre myself.  Unfortunately the hours wont fit around our child care.

Kings Chambers is something that we are looking into!

Hi BalbyRover, I found this about Staff training and vacancies for school kitchens in Doncaster. I know you live in Thorne and your partner doesn't drive but It may be worth talking to them to see how flexible they are. Best of luck.

Stoneacre Open day Tuesday 30th January 8am - 8 pm.

Arrange an appointment tel 01405 744197 or
E:admin.bdc@stoneacre.co.uk.

Beat the rush and pick up the phone before others do .....Business Development Centre at their Head Office in Thorne if this helps .

On returning from maternity leave they are only obliged to offer you your old role on the same terms, hours etc. You can put in a flexible working request but they don't have to honour it.
