Fractured rib. Out for 2-3 months. Another huge blow.

We need two central defenders in on short-term loans.

Shame, we’ve had a bad week on the injury front. That’s football, least the window is still open.

'Short-term' = 'to end of season', unless they are free agents or play in non league

Understatement of the decade - 3 class centre backs and a promising midfielder long-ish term injured within one week

Fergies said it'll be more than one in now.

Joe Wright has fractured his ribs so will be out for a couple of months, Ferguson says he now needs two centre halfs before the window closes on Wednesday evening and has already had a couple of moves for players rejected #DRFC    Off Jonathan Buchan Twitter

I’m sure DF will get one if not two in. The problem for me is these lads will not have been playing regular and will take a little time to settle especially if it is two new CBs starting together. None of Lawlor, Mason or Garrett as the rest of a back 5 have shown any sign of organising ability to help them out either.
It’ll be reet we’ll just have to score 3 a game.

Could anyone enlighten me has to how Joe Wright got his injury, sat in the east stand we couldn't see. Seems a strange place to get a football related injury.

A pity because one of our Players will doubtless walk into it cutting a Tendon or similar

Talk about bad luck !

I still fancy they did a number on us and targeted Wright knowing we had no real CB's if they got him off

Yep was my line of thinking but didn't want to point a finger without a few facts. Anyone watching in the Rossington end get a good view.

Am I right in thinking that now Andrew (at Wimbledon/Trotter apologised afterwards), Williams (at Wigan) and Khemis (at Shrewsbury) as well as Wright have now had long term injuries resulting from bad more or less unpunished tackles (not even a yellow in sight)?

DF goes before the FA Tribunal on Tuesday and since his (measured IMO) outburst he has received a good bit of support in the media from pro's . Especially significant was Keith Hackett's endorsement to the claim that refereees at this level are not sufficiently fit physically . DF is charged with bringing the game into disrepute .. the charge is misdirected

Unfortunately the chinless tw*ts will have already pronounced him guilty already, must be seen to protect their own

Back to JW - gutted for him, thought he had done enough to keep a starting place before the injuries

Seemed to get a crack to the ribs. I think it was initially during/after a set piece so I'm not sure if he got booted (in which case probably unintentionally).

Probably a revenge attack in that case after Wright took him out (cleanly I might add) by the South West corner early on.

Clattered by their number nine as he cleared a cross. Officials appeared to have blind spot where that particular player was concerned.

Correct. Need say no more. Is it any wonder managers blow a fuse. Can’t believe it took DF so long before he snapped. The standard of refereeing is appalling at league 1 and 2 level.
