19' Portsmouth have equalised. A corner is played in and defender Matt Clarke stabs it home 1-1 #DRFC

Corner, Scramble in the box. They've not really been in it up to that. not something new for rovers that.

Rovers conceding from a corner? We might have two new centre backs but it seems nothing changes.

Our goal was Copps, their goal was whoever is playing number 2 for them.

IN general player we've defended quite well. We just seem to have a complete absence of any approach to defending corners.

We can’t be defending corners too badly, the stats say they have had 6 of them..

And they've scored from one of the six.

Aye. Go and extrapolate conceding once every six corners for the whole season and sprinkle in the odd goal from open play and come back with a figure.

Not a very smart comment that, you can do better.

You could apply the same argument to your statement about a complete absence of defending at corners..  that was the point I was making..

What happened? Same as last Saturday when there should have been a red card?

Well, as someone reminded me last week you can go back and watch replays on Iplayer. Just-re watched the Blair incident 3 times and their player has left the ground two feet in the air with intent to foul Blair. It's a clear red card. Linesman two meter away (TWO).

They got 2 yellows just before half time need to target those players

Sorry one for them one for us

Now sky say 2 for them one for Marquis

Need to target their 2 players make them scared to put a challenge in

He didn't really catch him, he got the ball. But unless they've changed the rules I though it didn't matter?

Both look very nervous to me. Pompey have had a number of corners already one of which they scored from. We look very suspect defending them.

On a cheerful note.... our friends at Bellend Road and Hillsborough are both losing 3:0 at home....

Andy Butler said it was deffo a red and can't believe lino never flagged for it

Stuck on red card. Absolutely dreadful challenge. As was the one on Alcock last week.

From the Free Press blog

https://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/sport/football/doncaster-rovers/matchday-live-blog-portsmouth-v-doncaster-rovers-1-8998680/amp?__twitter_impression=true

4.48 - Yellow card
     Dion Donohue, Portsmouth, 45 minutes
     Christian Burgess, Portsmouth, 45 minutes
John Marquis, Doncaster Rovers, 45 minutes
Real controversy to end the half. Matty Blair was charging down the right wing before Donohue jumped into a challenge off the ground. The referee blew and reached for his back pocket but a melee ensued.
John Marquis ran over to the referee but was quickly followed by Christian Burgess who bundled into him, sparking a pushing match.
After a lengthy delay, Donohue was only booked and Burgess and Marquis joined him.
Former Chesterfield full back Donohue was somewhat fortunate - though the melee did him plenty of favours.

Looked 2 footed although won ball,we got to be bit more streetwise though as Blair got straight up instead of maybe staying down and just abit of argy Barry afterwards for other 2 bookings
