Typical..

There’s a Leeds fan in my office, does a school run with his kids so I usually get there first..

I had “another one bites the dust” all ready to play when he walked in, but the selfish w**ker likes gridiron so has taken holiday today after Super Bowl..

There will probably be something else happening Leeds-related to rip into him with tomorrow.

Here's how they signpost the manager's parking space at Elland Road...

As it shows someone that's decapitated, it'd be very appropriate!

Looks like Paul Heckingbottom is going to Leeds. Odd one.

I didn't think Heckingbottom would touch Leeds with a bargepole! He's not going to be popular at Barnsley!

I saw a few comments from Leeds fans on social media who were unhappy about Heckingbottom. Apparently he has not always been complimentary about Leeds United. If that's the case, talk about setting off on the wrong foot.

You mean will they come in for Fergie? In their position they need a bit of a firefighter and that's not his track record, is it?

I can’t see Fergie being remotely interested in Barnsley. I think he knows he has a solid job at DRFC with owners who don’t sack managers after 4/5 defeats. He is in the middle of a 5 year plan to get Rovers into the Championship. I think he will see that out myself and will stay longer if he feels he is getting the budget required to establish the club at 2nd tier level.

Barnsley also don't sack managers,
And they've just got new very wealthy owners it would be an attractive job

Their last 2 managers providing PH leaves would have left on their own accord as was the case with Lee Johnson. I kind of feel that when SO'D was given the opportunity to leave us for a bigger club that he should have done and would have been of benefit for both parties IMHO.

Heckinbotham would be a fool not to go to Leeds. Financially it makes total sense. He will be on a much bigger salary than he is at Barnsley. He knows before too long he will then get the sack at Leeds with a great pay off. If he stays at Barnsley he is going to get the sack sooner or later.
Take the money and run mate. You are only doing what your players do.

Hekingbottom confirmed as new LUFC manager

Makes you wonder what Leeds actually look for in a manager? Heckingbottom has "achieved" 4 losses and a draw since Barnsley's only win of 2018 back on 1st Jan.
I'll give him to the summer before he gets sacked....

Just because a team isn’t winning games does it means the manager is a bad one? I don’t think it does. When spotting potential and recruiting in any walk of life sometimes you have to look a bit deeper than face value results to find the right person.

I get your point Gaz, and I actually agree with you.

However how often do we hear the "football is a results business" from chairmen, managers, and fans too??

I can remember when he went to Weeds, it was in the Yorkshire Post he had a £1 million pay off clause put in his contract the same as fatty Evans had if he was sacked.
Good on him, it must encourage them to fail. the next lad wants to do the same thing, only for £2 million.
