Thank you. Can any of the Rovers stats men give me the details for this game. I am sure there was about 15,000 there and Peter Kitchen scored for us in a 2-1 defeat. I would love to know who of the big names were in the Derby side that night.

Cheers. I had a feeling Charlie George played and scored. Some Derby team that.

Two near contemporaries of mine, Leighton James and the late great Robbie James, are both from a small place near Swansea called Gorseinon.

I am from Gorseinon, and my mother's maiden name was James. I have always been hopeless at football though

Yes
It’s on the North West corner and is open on match days for an hour or so before every home game.

I used to love the programme shop at Belle Vue, it was like an aladdins cave.

As I recall it was a classic knockdown from the head of O'Callaghan for Kitchen to turn home.

Ian Miller was incredible that night and he ran David Nash, who was an England international, ragged. Near the half way line on the Pop Side, Windy skinned Nish who ended up on his arse. As he staggered to his feet someone shouted, 'You've got yer work cut out toneet Nishy', to which Nish nodded and grinned as he leaned against the flag as if defeated.

Derby got out of jail that night. They were played off the park for the first hour. I think Pat Partridge was ref that night and a lot of things went Derby's way. His familiarity with their players didn't go unnoticed.

The Supporters Club shop has thousands of programmes, located in the Community changing room are of the north stans (away end)  we are making up bundles of programmes  ie 4 for a £1 (pocket money affordable) Rovers home and away games, we are hoping to have a table selling them either near donny dogs kennel  or  outside belle vue bar, any help would be appricated, but with erik the vikings needs   i cannot man after 13.15,   we are staked out with programmes, Ben and len are normally in the shop from about 12.30 match days - 5.45 night games.

its an Aladins cave  ...........
