Looks like they were playing on the beach. More sand than Blackpool beach

Good luck to them, just shows the apathy that supporters treat the FA Cup with now though, potential game against Tottenham in the next round & their attendance tonight was 2,790, pathetic.

I agree with the statement, but at least Chelsea played the competition in the spirit it was meant to be as far as the reserve teams went. They played proper development sides unlike others who just took the piss.

It could potential be a detriment to their survival hopes now which would they take a tie against Tottenham or staying in league 1? It could work either way but good look to them either way.

I bet they get a lot more through the turnstiles if they play Spurs though.
Another big payday for them last night for winning that game as well.

The vast majority of their team has been the under 23 squad though. They played it to win it rather than using it as another reserve fixture.

I just think playing a 40 million pound striker in a competition meant for lower league players is a joke

He is only 21 though isn’t he?

Sorry but I don't get the arguments about the overage or star players turning out for the U-23s..

Hasn't it always been the case that for age-group football there are a certain number of overage players allowed, say 2 or 3 in a u-21 (or older) side?

In principle I agree that the age thing should be adhered to, or a non-1st team player rule, however, we can't criticise the clubs for playing whoever they choose as long as that is within the rules.

If the rules are wrong, then the authorities making them need to be challenged, not the participants themselves.

We put our 1st team players in our development squad fixtures, don't we?  To get game time and match fitness?

Eden’s brother I believe. Luckily for Lincoln, nowhere near as good.

Well done to Rochdale on a well deserved win.
Not so well done to Millwall on fielding a half strength team. This was disrespectful to the competition, Rochdale and most of all the 351 fans who made the effort to go up there. Who do we think we are, Man City or some other big guns?

I think everyone are blaming the authorities and not the participants
