I don't expect that Ferguson is imminently to be sacked. He has done a lot of good work. The recent performances are a real problem and he has to stop the rot quickly. He has got a lot of fair reasons for there being an issue.Equally if I was the owners and chief exec I would be putting feelers and a small contingency plan in place. They would be foolish not to. He will have targets and have to meet them. Ultimately us fans don't know what they think but they'll have thoughts.
What about Mr Evans.
Quote from: donny dave on February 14, 2018, 12:53:43 pmWhat about Mr Evans.there is no way he would leave mid season they lost on saturday first loss in about 16 - lost very few matches this season - yes he did consider Gillingham earlier this season (i laughed it off wrongly) confident they will finish 2nd shrewsbury are stuffed full of loanees accrington are also stuffed full of loanees - could argue the managers struck it lucky remember that shrewsbury manager when they played braintree in the play offs (and losing the ist leg) being on very shaky ground if he lost the 2nd leg he would have been sackedi always reckoned shaun derry would become an Alan Pardew clone and manage at least in th e Championship and i'll stick with him to become a decent manager one day and i was shocked to find out last night he had been sacked on fridayjust remembered seeing him derry quoted in the odds when ferdie was 14/1 for the job - wonder if he got an interview
Nobody has mentioned Steve McLaren yet?
Quote from: selby on February 14, 2018, 10:17:02 am I would go for the Accrington manager If I went for anyone other than Fergie that is. Or would fans accept Dean Saunders back?As you know from our discussion on the coach last night Brian, I would have him back quick as I could get him here. In fact I would go and pick him up myself and bring him here. I would eve claim the fuel costs from the club either.By heck it might not be pretty but he would sort them out. 4-4-2 and everyone would have a defined role in the team. No tinkering, happy players great team spirit. BRING IT ON. Trouble is he wouldn’t come back to us, well I doubt it anyway. Would need to give him a contract till summer of 2020 on good money I reckon to even get him remotely interested.

A decent win on Saturday and those same fans will the singing Fergies name

We are stuck with Ferguson probably until January next year, at the earliest. I cannot see him getting us relegated this season (although it looks quite tight) and the Board will see that as the bare minimum completed by keeping us in League One. Their expectations will likely be that we are by mid-point of next season, competitive and consistently in top half or bottom half, looking to challenge for promotion. If that is not the case come the January window, then you cannot really see how their Five Year Plan is achievable with yet another modest season in League One looming.

We couldn't see him getting us relegated 2 years ago. As last night we were hammered by Colchester Good Friday by 4 goals and never recovered. Enough is enough, I am off the fence, not maliscious, but don't want a return to league 2 which is very (too) possible!
I've got a couple of mates who are season ticket holders in North Derbyshire and they along with a lot of others blame him for starting the rot
Russell Slade?
Quote from: BigH on February 14, 2018, 08:30:26 pmRussell Slade?I used to think he was a decent lower league manager, but he's been a disaster in his last few jobs.
just remembered a good manager who would do a good job (would he get on with the board)sweet little harmless "nice" "well mannered" Billy Davies been out of works since ????
