He's been sacked apparently and they've already decided to replace him with Garry Monk.

Can't say I will shed any tears for him. Cotterill is near the top (behind only Evans probably) of a list of managers I cannot stand due to their character and would never, ever want to see them managing my club.

Idd have him in second place behind Graham westley

I've no sympathy for Cotterill and will shed no tears over his sacking. That said, Birmingham City are a basket case and Gary Monk or any other half decent manager should give them a wide berth.

I somehow forgot about Westley. Make them the top 3 then!

Westley is the top, how he ever gets a managerial role is beyond me, perhaps he's the cheap option with him not needing the money because the way he treated Farnborough.
Cotterill will soon run out of clubs wanting to employ him, he has a good half a season every seven or eight years

Birmingham are starting to make Leeds United and Nottingham Forest managerial jobs look like long term solid jobs.
They are more than a basket case as Red Baron said. I feel sorry for their supporters when their club is being run in such a shambolic way. They were 7th in the league when they sacked Gary Rowett.

What? One they could never afford him, two his stock is way too high to consider dropping all the way to the National League, and three he's only ever managed north of the Trent once in his career. About as much chance of me managing the Monkey Hangers as there is Cotterill.

Isn't Jeff Stelling already paying for Ronnie Moore as a short-term manager out of his own pocket?

Well Keith, I would imagine that a nice pay off when he gets sacked is very welcome.

Garry Monk new Birmingham manager. They must rue the day they sacked Gary Rowett.

Everybody has forgotten about Mark Wright, voted here as the most hated manager by Rovers fans.

He had the good decency to give up management and stop inflicting himself on us all, is probably why. These other cretins stick around like a stubborn stain.

Cotterill is terrible. Wasn't it him who said that David Healy got the Portsmouth player sent off for his ABH on Hayter in the 3-2 win at Fratton Park a few years ago? Tool.

Would never want him near this club.

I'd say the same about Evans too but it's actually quite hard to argue with Evans' record at L1/L2 level. If you want a turn around and a boost, Evans is probably up there to be fair.

Without looking or knowing much about Cotterill's early career, has he actually achieved anything in management other than being an intolerable p***k?

I think Cotterill was Portsmouth manager when we lost 0-2 to them in the championship on a saturday afternoon.  It was a really niggly feisty game, with Pompey up to all sorts of tricks.  I remember being more angry at their antics than the result.

The following tuesday we lost 0-6 to Ipswich, but despite the result (of course) this was a much cleaner and far more enjoyable game!

Dave Jones to Hartlepool looked a no goer last season as well
