For me it would Wright, Mason, Marquis, Andrew, Beestin, Rowe.

I think I'm in a minority with Mason but I think he's very much underrated by some. Reads the game very well and if we play him in one position for a prolonged period of time, he'll be class for us.

 Andrew missed 5 months out with a knee ligament injury at Fleetwood, quite a risk to hang your  hat on that, given his injury record with us.
 With McCollough some could be without a third of their picks for most of a season.

A few interesting things to come out of this...

- Seems like Marquis & Rowe are our most valued (most popular) players, each have been in 10 out of the 12 votes, or 83%
- The next most popular player hasn't played since August; Danny Andrew
- Copps is deemed dispensible in half the selection, with more votes for Alfie Beestin
- Jordan Houghton, seemingly so crucial last season, is only in a quarter of selections, the same as Luke McCullough
- Despite for the most part people thinking we have two talented young keepers at the club, only 1 pick is for Marko Marosi
- Mathieu Baudry joins Ian Lawlor in having a big fat zero selections, with Butler and Wright far more popular - 58% of the picks for both

Going back to the OP, I assume we’re talking about players we’d want for next season. So nothing about long-term prospects. In which case.

  Could go along with that Billy, although Wright for Mason a maybe. Six is a bit tight as I expect about four or five out and the same in over the closed season.
   As an aside no Alfie May, who would have been a pick before October with B.B.and a few others.

Yep, it was a toss-up for me between Mason and Wright. When Mason has been played at right-back, he's been outstanding recently. I chose him over Wright because I already had 2 centre-backs in my list.

I'd like to see Baudry stay.  He seems to have fallen out of favour a bit this season though.

Fair to say I believe we have missed Andrew since he got injured, gives a physical presence and gives us balance on the left hand side. In my opinion we could do with another left sided defender as I can see we have got Blaney but would give us balance as occasionally all back 3 or 4 are all right footed.

I think as the opening post says it’s a bit of fun. Just because some players don’t make the 6 shouldn’t be seen as a slant on them - it’s an 11 a side game plus substitutes! But if I was to nominate 6 that I’d prioritise keeping for our present and future it would be:

Coppinger
Beestin
Rowe
Houghton
Wright

And there are a number of others I also think it’s really important that we keep.
