Fergy - Daily Mail this morning

Accordingly to the DM today, “Doncaster are braced for approaches from rival clubs” and “Doncaster are aware that Ferguson’s efforts have alerted interest from Championship clubs.”

Apparently, the “efforts” are guiding the club to safety in League One with 2 games to spare, and giving young players a first team chance.

I'd rather he didn't go at present but I wouldn't be crying into my cornflakes tomorrow morning if he left tonight tbh. Not entirely sure what he's done to warrant interest from a Championship club, unless he's mates with a few chairmen.
However it is in the Mail so it's guaranteed to not happen now.

Let him leave he has more ambition for himself than the board  have for the club .Rovers can’t afford Championship football if it means wages go up 200% . DF has stabilised the club and is along way from building a Championship side capable of sustaining its self .

Go for me. DF stands for "Doesn't Finish". he didn't finish last season off, has not finished off many games where we have been winning or drawing in the closing stages. he hasn't finished off this season, it peatered out poorly. it will be interesting to see with a larger budget if he can actually finish any thing off? I doubt it, especially if you ask Peterborough fans. who say they never want him back.

hardly achievement of the year is it? given our budget, compared to others in the league. "just enough Ferguson" - perhaps had all of this planned?

Maybe Ferguson got the story started himself to try and strengthen his position with the club.

Bring in Grayson and snods there out of contract at the end of the season and would do a good job. Either that or give Wilcox a chance.

interesting how the story came out a day after his interview where he clearly is trying to send a message to the board.

Might be a dangerous game he is playing.

I’d have Neil Redfern over Fergie in a flash, already at the club.

I would argue it’s a massive achievement when you consider you’ve been predicting relegation for a year.
You should be ecstatic

He's clearly using his agent to manufacture stories such as this in newspapers as a tactic to manipulate the board into giving him what he wants in the summer.

Oldest trick in the book and very easy to see straight through it.

Not sure how that's "clearly" what's happening at all. Yes, it might be, but it's just as likely the paper is just making random stuff up to fill column inches, something that happens an awful lot.

Reported to be associated with Chester.

Not a prayer. He'll end up somewhere far bigger than us. Probably keep the West Brom job.

i just asked the question who would want ferguson and since massey ferguson make tractors seems a bit obvious if he "bales" out of Rovers he could make hay for the tractor boys.

to me who know nowt Idswich seems the "one"

The Lincoln brothers have signed a new deal and are 33/1 so no longer favourite

Fergie hasn't got a sniff in the Ipswich betting  Paul Hirst is 2/1 favourite  for a team who we all believe will be challenging for relegation next year

Coleman is 10/1

you'd be a bit gutted if you were a fan of a championship club and he became your manager!

He's done some good things for the long term of the club off the pitch but on the pitch we've never pulled up the kind of trees to warrant championship interest

Thanks for your kind words but I'd say it's a good idea rather than great. Biggest positive is that it's Darren Moore.

If Darren goes and I hope not,it will put plans for next season back at least six weeks. The manager who comes in needs to be able to continue work on getting young players in the development stage and progress the first team,  in what will be the 3rd year of a 5 year plan.
