IKEA

I really do despair with some of the brain dead morons that our game attracts. Yesterday we beat Sweden so what do some knuckle draggers do?
Go on the rampage in IKEA. They're should be no sympathy when/if the authorities do manage to track them down. Seems then to prison, that will teach them.

It’s pathetic. That’s not spontaneous celebration, that’s using what should be a wonderful result as an excuse for a regression session.

This is why I've more respect for proper 'hardcore' hooligans than gimpy lager louts who cling on to something and get blinded by it.

Quite often, the proper hooligans will have their ruckus and try to take it out of the way of kids/families - and the target is the opposing hooligans who want precisely the same thing. Shirters don't get caught up in that shit because they aren't the target.

The gimpy lager louts will act up after a few beers and all and sundry will be caught up in their crusade.

Sorry but you are pathetic trying to justify ANY form of hooliganism

If 2 like minded groups of people want to fight each other, and it doesnt affect anyone else, there's nothing wrong with it.

I hope that 'not affecting anyone else' includes not pestering the NHS to put them back together again afterwards.

I said recently in another thread that the general public perception of football fans is that we are all lager swilling hooligans. It didn't take long for me to be proved right (even if it is only a small number we all get tarred with the same brush) and be given an example of what I was talking about. I am the authorities will investigate both incidences and deal with the offenders as there is video evidence everywhere these days. Any mention of "proper 'hardcore' hooligans" beggars belief but comes as no surprise knowing some of the posters on this site. It's only a small number of posters but regrettably they are usually very vocal stretching their intelligence to "you're talking b*llocks" and "you make me laugh".

Total Knobheads.
That video was in Nottingham I had to walk past it. We went to watch the game in the Company Inn on the canal side. Been there before lots of singing and a few pratts throwing beer in the air (kicked out by security) but generally great place to watch game.  Yesterday within 5 feet of me and Tiddysmum some (I make no appologies for my language) Tw#T let off a chuffin flare after the first goal. We couldn't see our way out. The pub was instantly cleared and closed.
Not going out to watch whenever we play again.

Get them charged with vandalism and destruction of property and put them in jail for 28 days.

Worth noting how easy others, the ones watching, get caught up in it. That's what's really dangerous. Same kind of mentality that goes along with authoritarianism - people that can't think for themselves. They also need punishing for being asleep sheep... oh wait, that's the kind of mentality the establishment wants people to have.

The question is though: will it make Southgate think about adopting a flat pack 4 for the Croatia game?

I’ll get me 🧥

Sadly you are bang on - and it has seriously continued its decline

We were not angels in my day (well though I was personally) my generation was responsible for starting football hooliganism / Mods and Rockers etc etc and I have watched it go down down down ever since

It is a minority of course but there seems to be no way of putting the Genie back in the bottle now - just think of the things the majority have to do and be inconvenienced by * - because the minority wont behave to a decent standard.

* Speed humps being one - but there must be hundreds more

... and from above "Flat Pack 4" - brilliant !

Why?
A lot of those involved probably don't have the sense or inclination to vote for either side.
The problem is a lack of respect for authority in any shape or form.
I know a teacher that was told by a badly behaving young child. " You want to hit me miss don't you"?
"But you can't or I'll get you done".
Another secondary school teacher that I know was hit whilst breaking up a fight in the playground. The pupil was allowed back in school after three days.
No respect at school and then no respect for the police or any rules or regulations as they get older.

Bbc showed scenes in zagreb after they won the penalty shoot out.
Plenty of flares set off, looked great, people having fun, celebrating and enjoying themselves.
Bet not one stopped to whinge about the smoke though.

I saw that clip too and I don't remember any smoke bombs. If there were any, it certainly wasn't noticeable above the fans just jumping around and cheering. Wasn't even that much "beer chucking" either compared to a lot of the UK venues.

The one I saw was an aerial view, there were at least 3 flares.
Like I said looked great, they were really enjoying themselves, and rightly so.
As for beer chucking, haven't seen any goal celebrations from other nations fans to comment.

On another note, there's a video of Brazil's team coach getting bricked by a load of unhappy Brazil fans, after they returned.

And how exactly does a Volvo represent authority?

Doesn't authority or the authorities prohibit the damage of other people's property be it a Volvo or any other item.

Are you seriously trying to say that that Volvo was attacked to give the finger to British authority and not purely because it was Swedish?
