It was 20 years ago today........

Ian Snodin told the lads to play.

We played Southport at home, our first game since relegation to the conference. 

It finally felt like we had won after everything that went on the season before.

Amazing to think everything that has happened since.

Really is amazing what we did in the 10 years from 98-08. 4 years in the conference, storming division 3, a magnificent cup run with some great nights under the lights at Belle Vue, moving to the Keepmoat and beating the mighty Leeds United at Wembley. Goosebumps.

On a more serious note, Wednesday will be not only 20 years to the day since the Dover game, but also the Omagh bombing.

RIP and condolences to victims of that monstrous atrocity.
