Tweet from Paul Goodwin, would imagine Khemis on his way out on loan???

Paul Goodwin‏ @paulgoodwinDFP · 25m25 minutes ago

Grant McCann optimistic about a loan addition to the midfield. 'Something different to what we've got'. He said it's likely to be one in, one out. #drfc

Possibly but GM also said Ben Khemis was looking very sharp in training.

Which is why I would expect to be him,he's in his last year here and hasn't managed to even get in the squad yet so far this season.Add another midfielder to the mix and he's not going to get much time..

I would expect GM wants him to go out so he can see how he does in competitive football so he can decide if he's worth sticking with for the future or moving on..

Surprised it's a midfielder I was hoping it would be another striker

100% approval from me, as no doubt everyone will know after I have banged on about the need for more quality in midfield. Depends who and what he is but another with similar quality of young Kane and I will be very happy.

Something different to what we have? My guess it could be a nasty piece of work, as (maybe) McCann also thought we were bullied on Saturday, especially in midfield.

With you, DVR, on your choice and I think that person would be the icing on the cake, but for me, the absolute priority was midfield. This news is going to have all the midfield 3 on their toes, now!

Some shithouse midfielder who's not afraid to stick the boot in when necessary and another striker and we'll be right up there, imo.

Karldew, in spite of his past injuries, he is the one that would probably attract the most interest  from other clubs, having had more good games against other clubs in the past than any of the others we are likely to let go on loan, and at a higher standard in most cases.

It's got to be one of Beestin, Ben Khemis or McCullough and I agree with the philosophy that McCullough offers more experience for another side.

I will be very disappointed if it is either Beestin or McCullough, it would lessen our strength in depth. Ben Khemis seems the obvious candidate to me.

Think Ben Khemis could do well in lg2 given a run of games. He's looked decent for us a few times just never gets a run of games

I think it could be McCullough going out. GM said in his interview the new signing won't be a holding midfielder who doesn't come out of his slot, because that's not how we play.

McCullough isn't mobile enough to play it that middle three.

RA, I agree with you 100%, it would be disappointing to lose one of those two if better don't replace them, which would be harder to do than with some of the others, but other clubs will only look to bring players in that will improve them also.
It could be one that is a complete surprise, hopefully not, but I think most would agree that of our fringe players, those two would attract the most attention from other clubs.

If beesin is not going to play much I hope it's him, to improve he has to be playing regularly

Selby and RA the manager doesn’t like a midfield player who just sits they have to be mobile. McCullough unfortunately plays that holding role so it might be him that goes out.

We don’t know but if he wants games to continue being in the Northern Ireland squad he may have to move. He won’t get many games here the way that GM wants his middle three to play.

All the players we are talking about would still have a look in under DF but GM way is different. Doesn’t make them worst players but not fitting in the 433 system.

I do think it would be a mistake getting McCullough out the door. I don't rate him too highly, but I do think he would be handy to have around if we did need to tighten things up in a game and throw in another body who'll hold the fort.

I look at this way, would I be worried about a player we have playing against us in the future, in Luke no I wouldn't in the slightest, good luck to him but good move by the manager.

We don't want too many injuries of central defenders, I thought he was our get out of jail card in that area.
I also thought  he would be the one other clubs would want, and because of the time here, probably one of the high earners, which may help with a quality loan player in.
