Rovers and Knights
« on September 09, 2018, 11:08:40 am by Bezza »
seems daft for the Knights to play the same time as the Rovers, knights crowd yesterday was 888 this would probably have been over 1,000 if the Rovers had been away, also applies to the Rovers maybe we would get a few more if we didn`t clash. but more so to the Knights they would benefit from not clashing.

Maybe the low crowds that the Knights get is because Doncaster is predominantly a working class area...and also because egg chasing is shite.

They tried changing it a few seasons back playing on a Friday when we played on a Saturday and it made next to no difference in their attendance

Thought the Knights got average crowds of around 1200 to 1500 over the last 2/3 seasons. Yesterday’s crowd was quite a bit down on normal.

Were they maybe both at home to coincide with being away on Leger weekend? The biggest day in the town every year and it's next Saturday.

They clashed a lot last year as well. Friday nights was just not suitable for a lot of people. Knights would get a few more if Rovers were away no doubt.
