Def Leppard are a great band.
Seen them twice live, one of my favourites.

Grew up with them. Within the space of three years, I saw them at Crookes WMC, then Retford Porterhouse and then Sheffield City Hall. Also seen them in Antwerp, Hammersmith, Birmingham, and Sheffield Arena. I preferred them when they played the smaller more intimate venues.

Porterhouse was a great place for gigs especially tail end of punk
I’ve seen some cracking bands there - it was a t**t to get back from when we were too young to drive

Wow that isa great list I went to quite a few punky ones as my mates were punks
Remember iron maiden and Def Leppard there, never knew ac/dc had played there, I only ever saw them with Bon once at Loughborough

If you were too young too drive you must’ve been too young to get into the Porterhouse !! But then again Sammy Jackson wasn’t that keen on the rules and regulations

Assume he owned it, you’re right we were never questioned about how old we were

Great show by the way, had to laugh bought a bottle of water in the concourse with lid removed - when I queried why I was told that I might throw the lid at the band. I couldn’t have got a lid anywhere near the stage with a cannon from where I was sat. Should have bought one from the vending machine next to the outlet lol strange rules

I was at the NEC in the early 80’s to see Meatloaf, got hit on the shoulder by a bottle of beer thrown from behind me
