He has been poor for the last couple of games but started the season really well so definitely worth giving a bit more time to recover that form.

I'm not so sure that he is poor, I feel he is being exposed. Opposition teams appear to be targeting his side and he often finds himself in a 2 v 1 situation now whether that's down to our opponents thinking he is a weak link or that the striker on that side doesn't track back or it's done to stop him getting forward I'm unsure.

Let's be fair, everyone was poor against Fleetwood so using that against Andrew is harsh in my opinion, he wasn't as bad as some others. I also don't think he was exactly bad against Rochdale? Dropped one clanger which we got away with, but both of our full backs struggled against Rochdale's forwards and Andrew certainly coped better with it than Mason.

Odd to single him out.

I agree good start but off it last few games, he is supposed to have a great left toot, crosses, free kicks, corners, long throw specialist,
just not seeing any of this just now. Teams find it hard to deal with long throws in to the box as we do so why not uses it.

It’s a by-product of this system, rather than being down to individuals, imho. When we had 4 in midfield, it was up to the right or left sided player to help the fb when we were defending. It’s asking a hell of a lot of all 3 midfielders in this system and I think that’s why our full backs are getting more exposed. It might be catching up with Danny a bit, but we have 2 other left backs!

I agree Danny Andrew’s game has definitely “gone off” in the last 4 games imo. But he is not getting much help defensively because of our narrow 3 in midfield. We have gone back to how we were in the 1st game at Southend to a certain degree.
We need to start defending in numbers and attacking in numbers again as we did in our game away at Peterborough apart of course  from not scoring at least 3 goals. Not just the Peterborough match but that was certainly the best example this season.

I think  there may be a bit of him having a more average game than poor ones, and because he shone earlier in the season, we expect him to be very good all the time.
Him and Mason have very physical, and tactical roles to play for us, and would find it difficult to be on it all the season, but neither of them have had what I would call a bad game up to press this season and both have had more very good games than average.

I wonder if Tommy Rowe's absence has affected Andrew? One area where Andrew has disappointed me is his delivery into the box.

Even a average Danny Andrew is better than no Danny Andrew at all,the last 30 odd games last season is proof of that..

Must be time to pick on a player again!! He’s playing in a more attacking energetic formation. Give the lad a chance !!

No body is picking on him at all. Some of us are just saying his form has dropped off a bit in the last few games.
For heaven sake this is a forum to express opinions isn’t it.
I like Danny Andrew very much. Desperately missed him last season.
