Q when is a Yellow Card NOT a Yellow Card
« on October 24, 2018, 08:35:00 am by Donnywolf »
A When it would be a second Yellow Card
Cattermole set his stall out after 7 minutes when he went right through the back of Marquis I think it was. Yellow card all day. Got a yellow after 15 minutes for another bad one and then had another two or three thst could easily have been yellows.

I figure these days that it is the best way for dirty gits like him to be !

Stage one - ASAP - clatter the oppo Player you think presents the biggest threat. Hammer him hoping to crock him

Stage two - Ref has a word

Stage three - have a couple of other goes at oppo star man or joint star man - making them look as fair as possible

Stage four - Ref has a word and tells you to "really" watch it

Stage five - take one for the Team if an oppo player looks as though he will get through - or you get a clear "pop" at your initial target

Stage six - you pick up a Yellow Card maybe as early as 15 Minutes

Stage seven - (dreamland) You are now "free" to do whatever you like safe in the knowledge the Ref aint gonna produce a second Yellow for you at any stage

Stage eight - Your Manager realises you have burnt all your energy out having chased target kicked target and reffed the Game (chasing the Ref all over) OR he realises even THIS REF may eventually lose patience and so he Subs you

Not just any Player last night but a lot of Players in recent games too especially Fleetwood & Gillingham.

Yes he too benefitted from already being on a Yellow - and it was a bad challenge - but in addition he also did loads of breaking up play fouls which by themselves should have led to "cumulative or Totting up " Yellows

He shouldn't have been on the field to make it. That first challenge on Copps was a straight red all day long.

Not forgetting the 2 footed tackle in front of West stand 1st half on Copps? by the right back

Looking on the BBC site there seems to be far few yellow cards listed than I thought were given on the night. I thought every player apart from Marosi Copps and Blair were shown yellows and at least the same numbers shown to Sunderland players

Yes I was sure that someone would eventually get a second yellow and was suprised to see the Yellow Card count so low as you have pointed out when I looked at the Match "facts"

Also surprised (though I should not have been) that we edged them on Yellows ! Hope that Ref does not return any time soon - but heap on SAFC if they get Refs like him all Season they will be greatly assisted in their aim for Promo

Personally I hope they "only" make the Play offs and lose in them
