It’s not the end of the world but the same old problems repeatedly cropping up and going unaddressed has a strong whiff of Darren Ferguson.

It all goes back to the debate about what people prefer, high scoring attacking games that can go either way, or boring ground out 1-0 wins, like we had when we last won the league, which means having a strong defence.

I prefer the latter, and that's what brings the crowds in, because of the high league position that follows.

I'm all for the gung hoe attacking and good performances, occasionally losing but with the amount of defeats recently I'm swaying to the latter.

It goes back to what I said in the summer, lack of investment in the summer would lead to the manager getting stick on here

You would expect him to learn from  all the mistakes.

I'm beginning to wonder if this manager is smart enough?

What because were going through a bad spell? The best managers have shit spells.

Fickle fan syndrome init....

It most certainly is.

Is Cliff Byrne the defensive coach? If so maybe he needs to be addressing our defensive problems. Missing half the regular back four can't be helping today.

In general it looks like GM chose not to spend all the budget available to him in August, maybe for the very good reason of seeing what he already has at the club. I think we are light on backup and hopefully this can be addressed in January.

I don't think we should form a proper judgement until after a full season - especially given such a positive start which has upped everyone's expectations

"Lack of investment..." yawn. January always was set up to be the next step, see what we need, go get it. But some would prefer to have spent the lot in July/August.

GM? I think more likely that should be about the players. Though maybe you could spell out the mistakes you're referring to?

We’ve got about 20 players out of contract in June, quite a number of which I think we would like to keep, so probably sensible to hold back some of the budget to keep players like Wright, Rowe and Marosi.

We're obviously not as good as a lot of people on here thought we were.

No, we are very good when at our best but as plagues most teams we are inconsistent..

Still only 3 points off 4th spot, not panic stations yet

Where they missing in the 3 recent defeats?; we're on a bad run of form; if we lose today it's 4 points from 18.

This needs sorting.

69' A well-worked moved saw a cross from Coppinger fired into the path of Taylor, who laid the ball to Wright, who then smashed his effort home from close range. 2-1 #DRFC #COVDON

Silly statement that Wiltshire; I've got my train tickets for Charlton, and can't wait, but surely I'm entitled to be concerned about a defence that can't defend set pieces.
