On a positive note...

Let’s be thankful we weren’t playing Chorley today because we would have lost with that performance. Let’s hope we don’t see anything like that again this season.

What's changed is that we are now in freefall. Even McCant admits it is hard to turn around when it starts. And he has no plan B as he has no other players or formations to turn things around. We might win against Chorley, Notts County and Wimbledon and he will pretend all is well. But when we face Barnsley and so on we will be back in freefall.

Can't let you get away with that misinformation and negaivity  :police:

We lost 3 in a row, bad but not freefall.

We are 9th, flying fairly high, not in freefall.

GM does use different formations, and maybe he's focusing on what he sees as our strongest formation, and maybe he is wrong, maybe he is right. There is a plan B, and a plan C.

Chorley, Notts Co, Wimbledon, Barnsley and then Blackpool at home. That could easily be 4 or 5 wins out of 5, not in freefall.
And then, Bristol Rovers, Scunthorpe, Oxford, Fleetwood, Gillingham. I can see a few points in that lot  :boxing:

Best start to the season in years, in touching distance of play offs and after a bit of bad form he's become McCant, our fans are shocking.

We are nowhere near freefall. Bad run certainly though.

Today as Liam Hoden said, was disastrous. Aside from first 5 minutes we were absolutely flat. Never mind second to ball, we were often third and fourth. Marquis invisible.

Talk about shitty both ends of stick. We are diabolical at defending corners and even worse at attacking from them.

The McCann ethos appears to be attack at all costs yet today we were absolutely toothless. Very poor.

He can I hope sit down and think about what needs to be done as it is hardly a decimated squad. Rowe out but back soon. Players out with bookings now and again but 90pc of squad is available.

We have just had some tough fixtures (Accrington, Sunderand, Coventry and Charlton all top 8). We have also been missing a couple of players for the first time when we know that the backup is not as good.

The next 6 matches will see us to the half way point when we will have played all 23 other teams in the league. 4 of the remaining 6 teams we have yet to play are currently in the bottom 6.

We could still be in a good position when the January window opens, and let's see how that goes.

How can you possibly say categorically that we won’t beat Barnsley and will still be in freefall.
The doom merchants are out in force again.

Do you ever post anything positive? I only seem to see your name appear on threads when we lose and you have something negative to say.

You're not the only one mind, I should say. We have a few posters who only seem to appear mainly when the team isn't winning matches.

Our down turn seems to coincide with the announcement of contract renewals , perhaps some have just decided they don’t want to stay ....mind you there is about 19 to choose from .

That doesn't make sense. Surely if you want out of a club but want to extend your career in football, you do everything you can to shine and attract attention of other clubs. Utter tosh to me, sorry. Why do we have so many doom mongers? Positivity breeds success, and comments like this don't help. At least let's be constructive. Can't get my breath.

If the club have any ambition why not get the main out of contract lads to sign???? There’s nothing happening at all, and I know first hand one certain player as been told there won’t be a renewal and been advised to look elsewhere, Mark my words on this one!!!

We NEED a proper clear out, and I’m not talking about my toilet schedule. No time for reminiscing in the summer. Tough decisions

But if we consider ourselves both serious contenders and good enough to compete we need to get something out of these games.

I'll give McCann his due with the good start but that is masking over alit of cracks.

1) we don't have enough strength in depth
2) the squad has not been invested in enough to allow 1 to happen

Without those 2 happening we can't expect to think we can compete.

I wonder what has been said to the 19 players out of contract. Since they said get had started discussions performances have been dire

Lets hope its not at Chorley like you say because the Road to Wembley Comp has 52 votes for Rovers and 2 for Chorley so could be very short Comp indeed !

He doesn't. He's basically posted exactly the same post for the last several years with different wording.
