Parking fine -car park 3
« on November 03, 2018, 07:40:00 pm by Albert Trousers »
The Mrs went to a school football competition a few weeks back at the Keepmoat & arrived late due to work so she pulled in to car park 3 where we park for home games. She has received a parking fine from a company in Lancashire as it seems it’s permit holders only on non match days. Is it worth a whinge at the keepmoat as it was an event they held so she thought parking in the stadium car park would be fine or should she take it on the chin as she didn’t notice (or look for) any signs telling her not to park there.

Check on line.
I got a ticket from a company in Preston a few years ago. I think you will find they threaten you but if you don't pay they can't force you.
Also Martin Lewis did a piece on it on tv I beleive

It might have been car park 3 that was discussed, I can’t remember for certain, but certainly one of them was spoken about in detail as some people had picked up fines for parking in there to collect match tickets.

A bit longer than that but neverthless it got a comprehensive discussion. Might be interesting to Alberts Trousers even though it is Car Park 1 to his Car Park 3 - I am guessing same details apply

what was the outcome of this fella, my mate has just received a ticket for parking in CP3 to go to the club shop and get his season ticket. I've advised they are potentially unenforceable if it's not a legit dmbc ticket.. any advice welcome.

Mad thing is that we both go down there on Tuesday night for academy training and I cant say I've noticed signs as we park up without a care in the world. I was well aware of the CP 1 parking issues.  I'll make sure to avoid CP 3.

CP2 is open to all and no parking machine, it's just they're permit only.

Sad thing is, we were told by the academy boss to park in CP 3 on Tues nite for training, so mentally you are thinking CP3 is safe.   he was actually going to the club shop to get the training gear for his lad.  So parked in aN empty CP 3 a very short amount of time..  theres loads of stuff about this in the web, some folk pay, some brave it out.. and hear nothing. Some get court hearings and get less than the cost of the fine verdicts against them from the judge..  frustrating to say the least.

It’s shocking that relatives who visit loved ones in the memorial garden could potentially be fined 😡🤬

Is it the Club or the Council? Remember it’s still Council owned

I don't really understand why the stadium management feel the need to do it. Is there a massive parking issue there on a regular basis?

By all accounts, he was the only car in there.  Not exactly taking up someone else's space. .

It’s ok, we won family club of the year, ripping off potential fans can’t be in the criteria for that award

If nurses have to pay to go to work so I doubt there’ll be much sympathy for you .

So I popped into town this morning to do some shopping.... I was only in there for about 5 minutes and when I came out there was a traffic warden writing a parking ticket.
So I went up to him and said, "Come on, how about giving a guy a break?"
He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. So I called him a jobsworth. He glared at me and started writing another ticket for parking over the lines!! So I said he was the worst jobsworth I’ve ever met.
He finished the second ticket and put it on the car with the first.
Then he started writing a third ticket!!
This went on for about 20 minutes, the more I softly abused him, the more tickets he wrote.
To be honest I would have been really angry but thankfully my car was parked around the corner.

quite possibly the worst analogy I've ever heard.  How are the two scenarios remotely connected.

My wife was a nurse and had to pay monthly for a parking permit. She had the permit on her windscreen but was still fined £30 for parking in a wrong zone.

As far as I recall the club lease the car park on non matchdays to somebody else,it's them who have put the parking restriction's in place and chartered a company to enforce it...
So in theory there isn't anything the keepmoat can do...

I fail to see how these two points are related. Are you saying the club are issuing parking tickets?

It's probably how the general public would see it though. They pop to the club shop after parking in the wrong car park, under the signs of home of Doncaster Rovers and then end up with a ticket. They'll automatically associate it with Rovers rather than an external management or security company.

What do you want them to do, put up big f**koff signs saying "Oh by the way we don't look after the car park on non match days careful where you park lol"?

If you want to pop to the club shop on non match days then car park 2 is big enough to accommodate many cars. It’s close to the club shop, memorial, athletics and football pitches. Car par 1and Car park 3 have been restricted parking for months on non match days.
So all everybody use Car park 2 unless there’s a major event then ask where to park.
