Is it the Club or the Council? Remember it’s still Council owned
the council own it but the club have completed control of the area but not the athletes area

I would expect that to be the case on match days but outside of that I’m unsure given that car park 1 is for office staff and 3 the new school.

If you want to pop to the club shop on non match days then car park 2 is big enough to accommodate many cars. It’s close to the club shop, memorial, athletics and football pitches. Car par 1and Car park 3 have been restricted parking for months on non match days.
So all everybody use Car park 2 unless there’s a major event then ask where to park.

Or just park on the bit of tarmac near the shop/ticket office.

It’s ok, we won family club of the year, ripping off potential fans can’t be in the criteria for that award

I fail to see how these two points are related. Are you saying the club are issuing parking tickets?

I’m saying the club have chosen to go the route of putting the car park into the hands of a parking charge company, whos only motive is to generate cash, everyone knows what these companies are like

If nurses have to pay to go to work so I doubt there’ll be much sympathy for you .
quite possibly the worst analogy I've ever heard.  How are the two scenarios remotely connected.
Rules are rules and it’s always those who neglect to follow them that complain the most.
once again like your analogy, absolutley pointless comment!

im not guilty of receiving a ticket, my mate is, he's not "moaning" to anyone. im asking advice on behalf to the previous poster how their situation ended up.

any more thoughts of filling this debate with waffle, think against it.

ive no issue with the club employing private firms like this, i do think however there should be a small amount of leeway, especially if you are are spending money at the stadium on a non match day.   If you were parking there all day and walking to a nearby place of work, thats a different matter entirely.

Lets get this clear the Keepmoat stadium has lots of let office space, the lessees also rent the carparks 1-3 as part of the contract. They have installed many signs both at the entrance and on nearly all the lamposts both informing and warning of the consequences of parking in there without a permit. You park in there at your peril, it is not Club Doncaster's fault if you end up with a ticket.

 :that:
Exactly what deebee says.

I have just been selling Sunderland Coach Tickets and during a slack spell I walked around Car Park 1 and there were about 17 Signs (may have been 16 - I lost count) . Nobody can reasonably use the defence that they didnt see the Signs if they Park in there

17 Signs in and around a space as big as a Football Pitch is a lot - and as deebee says there are a lot of Sub tenants who are based in the Stadium and who should be informing their visitors where to Park

Rovers and Dons Fans and others should follow the advice I saw posted on here earlier - JUST use Car Park 2    It is close to everything anyway and there will be no further problems - and if visiting Ticket Office or Club Shop(s) and you cant walk that far or dont want to then drive clockwise round the Ground (as its a 1 way system) and Park right outside one or the other  S-i-m-p-l-e-s

Not sure about signage in Car Park 3 which the OP referred to as I had time to look at CP1 only. Will look next time I go selling Coach Tickets

But that's not what you said at all. What you said, and not even implied, is that the club are ripping off potential fans.

It leases parking spaces for Royal Mail for one.

Maybe we could help by pointing out that the Car Parking issues are not a problem on Match Days and to my knowledge never have been and for Rovers or Dons Fans never will be a problem at other times such as collecting Tickets or visiting Club Shop if they always use Car Park 2 .

Maybe Club could add a suitable Sign at entrance to Car Park 2 as well

Job done by word of mouth ... No fall out for either Club ?

Doesn’t matter! Only two bodies can issue parking fines the local council i.e Traffic Wardens or the Police. The rest are speculative invoices and not enforceable. Don’t pay, appeal and be willing to go to court. Very unlikely they will go that far. See website Pepipoo.com

Quick update, we have just come back from CP3 after academy training, whilst theres plenty of signs. They are small and way above head level, especially the one whilst entering the place, if you drive diagonally thru the place to the spot nearest the stadium you as good as miss all the signs, then on leaving your car there are none by the footpaths.  So it's easy to miss what you wernt looking out for.  Granted there are plenty, but they blend into the back ground, let's no forget they made 25 million in fines last year.  Their business is to catch folk out.  However, that's a side issue, my mate has mailed the stadium to seeing a simple oversight can be sorted quickly.  They replied promptly asking for all details and leave it with them.  The club is faultless as far as I'm concerned, my pal is confident of a good outcome and is a CP2 for life man.  Hopefully this small heads up to folk with stop any more Innocent mistakes..  and let's be fair, that's all it was.

Slightly off on a tangent but do people pay for CP 3 to use the facilities at the athletics and the pitches? The reason I ask is on the Tuesday night match against Bristol I turned up as normal but was told the park was full and to park in CP4, as a permit holder you can guess my reaction. They eventually let me in to “see if there was a space” the place was half empty! Most cars in there seemed to have popped in to pick up their kids after finishing their sport and dash off again

It doesn't matter that Club Doncaster have leased the car parks to somebody else through the week any fallback will come onto Club Doncaster and put it in a bad light!  the amount of parking through the week in the restricted areas easily allows for say   half an hour leeway for people going to the clubshop or ticket office
OR  are the cameras enforced and provided by the companys that lease the car parks .....
 30 minutes parking ................problem solved

I fail to understand why you would choose car park 3 to go to the club shop or ticket office.
You can actually drive round the ground and park right outside!

:that:    Either way - we must encourage people to use Car Park 2 (takes me 2 minutes to reach Ticket Office) OR like you say drive round and Park right outside.

A lot of people actually do that I noticed while sunning myself between Coach Ticket sales (also takes about 2 minutes)

So 2 Minutes v 2 Minutes - either way though just avoid CP1 and CP3

Not Rovers related, although it could be. Be careful in the Outlet car park, make sure you park between the lines. A Range Rover was straggling the white lines and it was photographed and ticketed by the park attendant.

I drive round and park outside the ticket office. Then I put my shades on and get my White stick out of the back seat and pretend I'm blind.....Never been questioned yet.

I do put on a limp when I use the disabled bogs in Wetherspoons.

Probably could have parked 70 yards from where he/she wanted to be but did not want to risk getting Car bumped

So easier to park as near as you want but take 2 spots up ..... its another selfish "fashion" we can do without so I am with you !

Avoiding getting the car doors bumped by people who don’t give a shit is why people park over the lines.
I always park well away from the masses if possible and walk a bit further.

For that reason, I try to avoid parking next to 2 door cars. The front doors are about a foot wider than those on 4 door versions.

Your Bradford prediction was a duff one, albeit being correct! It had a draw all over it throughout (apparently) in every aspect but the result!

I do the same hound but when you park in a quiet area your one car seems to have attracted others by the time you get back.
It's though people don't want to risk leaving a car isolated but as soon as someone else does they are fine. It must be the herd instinct.
