Some of you show an arrogance I thought we'd got rid of in our Conference days. It's the FA Cup when anything can and normally does happen.

Sure, it's disappointing our form isn't good at the moment and we didn:t see off Chorley at the first attempt but we move on.

I thought Kane was absolutely outstanding today. A rare "10" performance. Copps was excellent as well.

Unfortunately the rest didn't match up. If we'd had a striker worthy of the name we'd have won easily.

What gets me is the inability of some players to do the basics, like find a team mate on a consistent basis.

Andrew needs to be benched. Time for Danny Amos to be given his chance. I'd also like to see what Longbottom can do as part of the front three.

Totally agree that Amos should come in. Andrew is contributing nothing at the moment.

Baz's post is spot on mind. Give Chorley credit where it is due, we weren't good enough today but they made life difficult for us. Meppen-Walter bossed it at the back and the goalie has made some good saves too. We're out of form but it's not the end of the world.

I don't think it is arrogance to say we should beat a club 64 places below us and with only 10 men for 30 minutes. We needed a win to regain confidence, not a draw and come from behind TWICE. Some fans are deluded.

Every credit to chorley deserved another shot at us, apart from Kane copps second half and imo I don't think lawler did much wrong, the rest weren't on there game, we just need a confidence boost from somewhere and hopefully we can get back on track

I listened to the game and saw the extended highlights..

It is true to say we are out of form, and Chorley became the stereotypical non league side doing all they could for a cup upset..

Yes we got caught cold with the early goal and their second was one of those shots which could go anywhere..

When their lad got sent off we were well on top with the momentum of the game in our favour - if the ref had given the penalty and if we had scored, I reckon that momentum would have won us the game..

In all honesty a replay isn’t a bad thing, in that it effectively gives us a “free” game to re-establish some better form.

Coming out of the ground I heard a number of their fans say how good they thought we were and one of them said they couldn't get near us.

They were obviously more impressed than we were.

I heard one say "there was nothing between the 2 Teams except for that little bit of Class"

I dont know whether he meant inherent in the whole Team OR more likely the little bit of class that was Herbies Goal ?

Either way we should really see them off easily in the Replay. They looked done for in the last 20 minutes - and without being too unkind some of them looked a bit "weighty" but that may have been the Striped Shirts ?

With a Ref just 10% better than the muppet we had there should be a lot less fouling / cynicism to cope with as well. Get pace thrown at Number 6 and he will soon be on a Yellow Card

It’s a cup game. They wanted to cause an upset. But they didn’t. It’s no different when we beat Aston Villa, Man City and then took Arsenal to penalties in our cup run in 2005. So what’s the difference.

Without being disrespectful to the level Chorley play at,they were always going to raise there game for this one, they put everything they had into it and played to the maximum of there abilities..
We didn't play that well again, but that's what Cup games are all about isn't it David and Goliath..Smaller teams on any given day can cause that upset..
At the end of the day we didn't lose the game and we've now negated a lot of the advantages they had on Saturday..Now they have to come to the Keepmoat and play on a nice pitch infront of a home crowd...There are no excuses to why we shouldn't put them to bed quite easily now..but then again Football isn't as predictable as that...I wonder how many they will bring?

Hope so ! They did look dead on their feet for the last 25 mins but we failed to kill them off.

I think we will do so in the Replay and they wont finish with 11 Men either I dont think

Liam Hoden has said on Twitter that he understands the Chorley replay has NOT been chosen for TV. So will be played next Tuesday.

I’ve just watched the bbc highlights back. The commentator says it’s the first meeting between the two sides which is a surprise due to Doncaster’s long rich history in non league football... HAVE WE ??

I would say they have been too low in the Pyramid to have played them as we only went as "low" as the Conference and they probably have been below that forever

Northern Premier League for a lot of their modern existence so I dont think we have ever played them in a League - and I dont remember a Cup Game either going tight back to 1958

We have never played Chorley in a competitive match before Sunday. I'm not aware of playing them in a friendly either.
