I remember when Scarboro' knocked us out of the FA Cup, the pitch was a quagmire and even Paul Barnes couldn't save us. Unless I'm wrong, I think Scarboro' were the last non-league team to knock us out of the FA Cup?

Not quite. Exeter the following season also beat us while they were in the Conference

There haven't been many. It's one thing we seem to have avoided over the years. Even under Maurice Setters we went to Oswestry and won.

As for Marquis and Wilkes losing the scorer, it depends on whether you think they should be marking a man 35 yards out at a corner. The scorer started his run a good 15 yards outside of the area. Marquis was just marking space and had little chance jumping against a guy who was running in to meet the cross.

Wilkes without a doubt should track that man or at least blocking the run

Have just watched it again. Wilkes would have no chance of blocking the run without conceding a penalty. Sometimes you just have to credit the scorer. That was a great run from deep - very difficult to pick up unless this had been identified as a tactic when we've had them watched.

Only 5 times have we lost to a non-league club while we were a league club, including twice before WW2

We have also lost to non-league teams twice in the AMC while we were a league club.

Dutch, thanks for the correction. I thought there was another team after Scarboro' to knock us out, but I couldn't remember who.

He can see the skid marks were inside the box. FA Cup giant killing refs decision! Appalling.

We've got to make the extra man count, they will tire.

This is simply not good enough, we need a clear out in Jan. I'm just hoping we can stay up this season but I'm not hopeful in the slightest at the moment. It looks like the good work DF did do is being unravelled at a rate of knots

We can’t be blaming the ref for failing to beat a part time side
