Today's was a half price DNA card to save people looking if they're not arsed about them.

That takes me back - putting Dubbin on your Boots (which were like Pit Boots)

Also if you needed a Stud replacing you got out the Cobblers Last and nailed a new one in. I am sure they were Leather Studs with three nails and you hammered them into the sole (and through the sole of course) and then bent the nails over and replaced the Insole

Then you got to run about for 40 minutes or however long your game was (and you tell the kids today that and they'd never believe ya)
