Bob Dylan"Girl from the North Country""Don't think Twice it's Alright""Ballad in Plain D"Nobody wrote love songs like Dylan, because most of them were autobiographical, and referred to his doomed affair with the love of his life, Suze Rotolo, who's pictured with him on the famous "Freewheeling" album cover, walking down the street in Greenwich village.Suze ended up marrying someone else, and is now sadly deceased. A tragic love story.

Some wonderful, songs in this thread but amazed so far nothing mentioned by two of my favourite bands The Eagles and The DoorsI also like some older more folky bands like Steeleye Span, Pentangle and Steely Dan.I still shiver at the memory of being driven in a VW Scirocco on a country road between Maastricht and Aachen at horrific speeds by a crazy German friend during a violent thunderstorm with ‘Riders on the Storm’ on at full volume.
