Cheers RJ.
Slightly better than where Alfie May came from.

Far above that level. Alfie May came from the absolute nowhere leagues. Sadlier has just been the best player in the Irish Premier, it's not a slum league.

I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do. We don't often sign players with this sort of playing background and there's certainly gems to be found.

Is that the lad who would cost a lot?

or the cheaper offer lad?

I was under the impression that this is the dearer, much sort after one. Midfielder who is impressing a few scouts/clubs.

I was watching that video waiting for the moment when that lass who looked like a dirty version of Princess Diana stepped through the mirror and the cartoon baddies on motorbikes started chasing him with monkey wrenches in their hands.

Bloody shite Bramhall.

Sadlier is the free transfer signing because he's out of contract. McLoughlin will cost a transfer fee as he is still under a deal with Cork.

When does his contract at Cork end, can he be added to our squad  over the Christmas period, or not play until January, in which case he will train with the team and the period would be used more or less as a preseason.
Beestin I think now is down the pecking order and I would not be surprised if he was loaned out in January if we can get him a club, but Alfie May, and Blair come under pressure now, especially with their contracts up at the end of the season.

Matty Blair said that although everyone thinks he is out of contract he actually signed a three year deal so he's here for an extra 12 months.

His contract with Cork has ended, he is now a DRFC player but the transfer window does not open until January 1st therefore he can't play for us until that day.

Well at least that gives him 3 weeks to train with the lads, integrate in the group and raise his fitness a few notches so he will be ready to go in January..

Not sure how the rules work,Cummings was out of contract and joined us and can play,,Sadlier is out of contract but cant..It must be if you've played for a club already this season..

Cummings wasn't joining from another country.

Besides, I'm pretty sure there's a point in the season before the winter transfer window that you can no longer immediately play free agents/signings.

Apparently, he has already been working with our sports scientist, since their season ended.

Apparently signing on fee and wages makes him a ££££ signing

Sean McLoughlin, Centre  Back, was the player rated by his club at £250,000.

His contract with his club runs out on the 31/12/18.

As far as I can see he still has not signed for anyone yet so it is still a possibility.

If that is correct, Alec, re his contract expiry, how can his club expect anyone to be paying that sort of money? No doubt, they'll be due something due to his age, but nowhere near that amount. We must be playing the waiting game?

I thought that included the 6 mths he had left on his old contract but I could well be wrong.

Surely it's 18 months, why would they give him a deal that expires halfway through their season? Got to remember they play a summer season in Ireland.

Like RA says their season runs calendar years not till May/June like ours.
