There was some scepticism at the start of the season about whether or not GM had kept back until January some of his budget.
This backs up his insistance that it was the case.

And it sounds good to me, let the speculation begin for who the mystery man is. We need to bolster the forward line, and we need a bit more depth in defence so it's very positive to see that McCann has identified these areas and is putting plans in place.

I must say GM comes over very well in that article, I like his views and his vision for the future.
He seems very clear about what he wants and how he will achieve it, and once again the Board seem to be backing him.

Sounds very definite whoever it is. Also looking for a defensive target which could mean McLaughlin is not coming our way... Or is he? Smoke and mirrors maybe.

Most fans have said all season that we can't finish chances as well as we should. We're on a great run at the moment but it has been a common complaint when we haven't won games. McCann says it himself, we're the 4th highest scorers yet he wants more, he knows we are capable of more.

Im thinking the club might be waiting to see if Cork will drop there transfer fee demand.I read somewhere,something along the lines,Cork hoping to cash in due to revenue dropping next season or somethung like that.

Just throwing this out there.  With Sadlier and this potential new championship forward. That gives us 5 or 6.  Is someone about to leave.

I don’t think so.. playing 3 up front it makes sense  to have 5 or 6 to choose from, especially with two already out on loan..

We should be strengthening, not maintaining the status quo..

My thoughts were for the second player to be a cb and the third a midfielder, in case of HK not returning to us.

The fact that it isn't gives me further hope on Herbie.

I know Sharp is in and out of the Sheff Utd team, but they're really not going to let their top scorer (and skipper) go to a L1 club are they.

Whether he'd even want to drop down a level is another matter as well.
